"Very happy. Professional service, and I was kept informed at all times. Some additional work required to get through the MOT done at a fair price with no delay in obtaining parts."
Very professional service
"Good communication, very pleased"
"Excellent service from the staff. Kept well informed on progress. Would highly recommend them plus to be taken home and picked up to collect the car is a great help."
Ok but some improvements
"When I arrived at 1 stop auto center to book my car in for its MOT and Service they could not find my booking on my system. I had booked a few weeks earlier and the girl on the counter did say that she had seen the email but not looked at it to confirm, it was a bit annoying but they were still able to take my car for it's MOT and service that day. The girl did say that she was new to the job, so I think that it is just an inexperience of the role or that more training is needed. She was friendly and welcoming though. I didn't receive a call to say that my car was ready to collect at any point so I had to ring the garage late in the day, which meant I had to almost run down the road to get there before the garage shut. The work was finished on the day and I have no problems with the work that was done."
Could have been better
"I booked my MOT online to be completed in the morning for £25 and when I arrived at 9:30am I was told that my car wouldn't be looked at until the afternoon. I had plans and had to cancel these due to this. I received a call around 3 to notify me of the works required and that it wouldn't be ready until after 5pm - completely wasted my day for my MOT I also provided to 2 bulbs as I was aware my reverse lights had gone however realised the next day that these hadn't been fitted and I hadn't been given my bulbs back! To top it all off, instead of being charged £35 for my MOT I ended up paying £30! I only go to this garage because they are fair and well priced however I may need to consider going elsewhere after my recent experience."
"Couple of issues but overall happy with the service"
"The staff at surefix were very polite and helpful"
Set within the historic county boundaries of the West Riding of Yorkshire, Huddersfield is the tenth largest town in the UK. It is surrounded almost entirely by rolling hills and glorious countryside, situated just a few miles south of the Peak District National Park.
Huddersfield has a diverse cultural scene. It is home to the West Yorkshire Sculpture Park, a vast open air ‘gallery’ covering 500 acres of countryside just outside the city which exhibits work by both modern and contemporary artists including Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth. The city is also famous as the hometown of celebrated poet Simon Armitage, and the spiritual home of the UK’s sound system culture.
Huddersfield has an impressive architecture portfolio, with over 200 listed buildings in the town. The Huddersfield Art Gallery on Princess Alexandra Walk is a great place to see established and emerging artists. You can enjoy performances at the Lawrence Batley Theatre or big screen escapism at the Odeon cinema opposite the football stadium.
Huddersfield is also a shopper’s delight with a range of leading high street retailers as well as pricey upscale boutiques. Kingsgate Centre on King Street hosts all the usual high street shops and the Byram Arcade, near the train station, is where you’ll find independent retailers and inviting smaller boutiques. Queensgate Market and Market Hall boast hundreds of stalls selling almost everything imaginable.
The cuisine on offer in Huddersfield is truly cosmopolitan with a wide range of excellent world cuisine; but if good old British food with Yorkshire roots is what you’re after, you can find that too. In terms of watering holes, old style pubs and trendy new bars abound, and to meet the demands from the student population there is a thriving nightlife.
Huddersfield is accessed via the M62 and M1 motorways. But be warned, once you leave the motorway network, the three main arterial roads into the town centre are responsible for the city suffering one of the worst congestion problems in Yorkshire.
