Great value service
"MOT booked in for 8.30. Got a call around lunchtime to pick it up. Good value."
excellent service & value
"I was a first time costumer and staff went above and beyond to help me about unrelated things I wanted to know about my car."
Professional & attentive
"Decided to choose this garage after good reading online reviews and I was not disappointed. Barry was helpful, kept me well informed of my car's M.O.T repairs as they were getting done. Booking in was simple and collection was organised easily afterwards. The cost of the M.O.T itself was £39 but the repairs were quite expensive, however, my car had clocked up many miles so a lot of work was needed in the end and what they charged me for the work that was done was actually very reasonable. Would definitely recommend this garage to other drivers who are looking for a quick and easy servicing at a decent price."
Great service, as always.
"Craig managed to fit my MOT in at short notice and did it whilst I waited. Excellent service."
"Very good and thorough without being overpriced"
"Very happy with service"
"Quick service and friendly staff. Good prices too."
"I’ve been using this garage now for a number of years and wouldn’t think about going anywhere else. The service is excellent, team are friendly, very experienced and most importantly I trust them implicitly to recommend only work requiring done with no ‘extras’ added to my work. Highly recommended, don’t take your vehicle anywhere else!"
"Easy booking and speedy service, Craig is a top guy that is happy to answer questions and give you a run down of your car and offer advice."
Edinburgh deserves its reputation as one of the most striking and compelling cities in the world. It’s an ancient place steeped in history but is also a modern, dynamic capital. It hosts one of the most famous cultural festivals in the world, as well as cutting-edge art, captivating bars and great restaurants. It radiates an animated, chic ambience with a distinctly Scottish twist.
Edinburgh is a city of extraordinary contrasts: you can dine in Michelin starred restaurants or sample deep fried Mars Bars, switch from cocktails to pints, and traverse historic green spaces next to urban streets. These opposites are also reflected in the stunning architecture, from the ancient castle, medieval tenements and ‘wynds’ of the Old Town, to the genteel elegance of the Georgian New Town. It seems fitting that the city is the spiritual home of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, the fictional split-personality character dreamt up by writer Robert Louis Stevenson. In fact, Edinburgh’s literary and publishing heritage dates back centuries and it became the world’s first UNESCO City of Literature in 2005.
The centre of Edinburgh is fairly compact, so it’s wise to park in one of the numerous car parks and explore the romantic cobbled streets on foot. Climb any of Edinburgh’s ‘Seven Hills’ and the view towards the city with Edinburgh Castle at its heart is simply beautiful.
Drive out of the city and you’ll discover an endless supply of scenic countryside and fascinating places to explore throughout Lothian. Pale beaches on unspoilt nature reserves are on Edinburgh’s doorstep, and so are ancient castles, picturesque villages and some of the oldest and most spectacular golf courses in the world.
The Edinburgh City Bypass arcs around the south of the city, and links the A1 to the north-east of England, the A702 towards the north-west of England, and the M8 through the central belt towards Glasgow. If you do opt for motorway driving into the city or beyond into the north of the country, be prepared for slow moving traffic and delays – the M8 has one of the lowest average speeds in the country. It’s also good to know that there is only one service station (at Harthill) along its 60 mile stretch. Check out the many alternative A routes for a more scenic drive.
