Great local Audi garage
"Online booking service excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Work done on time and with good information throughout. Local garage that authorised to undertake Audi work st a fraction of Audi Reading charges."
Quick and prompt
"Great customer service, very quick would definitely recommend"
"I did full service, that should include many checks like check the belts. In my car one of the passenger belts are not working, but when I did service no one check it, so I am not sure what work were done"
"The staff are so happy & helpful"
Good honest garage!
"Helpful, honest and speedy service all at reasonable costs."
"Although the MOT test is slightly more expensive, the customer service is second to none. And they do the test promptly after dropping your car off - so no more waiting around all day to hear the good or bad news! You're left with the impression of 100% integrity and honesty, which is a rare sensation in this trade."
"Lovely staff, great value, we will certainly use them again"
"The appointment was arranged over the phone and date and approximate time for my car to be collected was agreed. The car was duly collected and returned later in the day, with the job having been completed. The invoice was for the estimated amount, with payment being made over the phone. A nice touch was that the car, which had not been washed for at least 3 months, was returned having been washed. The staff were polite and friendly. In all, a very straightforward and satisfactory job."
Could try harder
"Nice to have a follow up call from the garage after booking through Book my garage. Enquired about the special engine cleaning that was advertised everywhere in the garage and met with blank stares and 'we don't do that here' Very odd. Staff didn't mention a fault that's been flagged on my car for a year. Think it's time to try somewhere new."
Coolant is a specially-formulated chemical liquid, commonly known as antifreeze, that circulates through a car’s engine. It removes excess heat from a car’s engine by passing it through the car’s radiator. Furthermore, the solution contains inhibitors that protect the metal, plastic and rubber in the cooling system from corrosion. And, as the name antifreeze suggests, it also doesn’t freeze up in bitterly cold conditions, so it plays an important role in a car all year long.
Coolant levels should be checked frequently, at least every 3-6 months. Low coolant can cause overheating, which would have serious implications for other components on the car. Even though coolant can leak and evaporate over time, in many cars it often looks as though the coolant never needs changing because its level seems to stay the same. However, draining and flushing the coolant system, including the radiator, at least once a year is important. Flushing pushes out all the old coolant, debris from corrosion and scale. If left in the engine, it may become clogged up, potentially causing extensive damage.
Before a mechanic drains the cooling system, he might add coolant cleaner to the coolant and then start the engine, depending on what the manufacturer specifies. After the car has run for a while, he would turn it off and drain it. He would then add water to flush it and drain it again, twice, before finally putting in the fresh coolant.
