Good reliable service
"Dropped my car off and they called me when I got home to advise that they recommend the pollen filter to be changed and gave me a price, which was very competitive. A few hours later I received a text message to say car was ready for collection. Picked the car up and they explained the paperwork and highlighted any items that needed attention. I would give them the following ratings (won't let me click on stars) value 4, helpfulness 4, quality of work 4, kept informed 5."
"Great garage. Very professional. Always use this garage. Would strongly recommend."
Great service and price
"Car booked in with no trouble, car failed MOT, but work carried out quickly. Good value and friendly service."
Great Service Overall
"No complaints, very happy with everything on the whole."
"The staff were very friendly and the service was carried out quickly without fuss. The information given following the service explained all work carried out and the health of parts such as discs, pads....the car does seem to drive better following the service. Will definitely use them again."
The clutch is perhaps the most important part of a car’s transmission system. It comprises two metal plates which are responsible for maintaining a connection between the engine and the gearbox. When the driver depresses the clutch pedal the plates come apart, separating the engine from the drive wheels, allowing you to change gear. Bringing the pedal back up re-engages the plates which in turn connect the engine to the drive wheels.
Excessive noise and vibration from the clutch area can be caused by a bad release bearing or pilot bearing. If this is the case in your car, the garage will take apart the clutch assembly in order to replace the bearings.
If the clutch is grabbing and shuddering as it’s engaged, the garage may need to take a look at the flywheel as well. Many modern vehicles are fitted with a dual mass flywheel; a rotating mechanical device which can break down. There’s no easy way for garages to check for this without disassembling the clutch and inspecting the pressure plate and flywheel. If the clutch pedal is giving little or no resistance, the problem could be a seal leak in the master or slave cylinder.

In addition the region of Yorkshire and the Humber boasts some of the UK’s best loved landscapes, such as the drama of the Pennines - ‘Britain’s backbone’ - and the austere beauty of the North York moors and the rolling landscape of the Dales.
