Engine Management showing on my car so Booked it in at 8.10am for a diagnostic test to find out why my car is showing a P0171 on my basic test equipment but me thinking Honda garage would pinpoint the fault without any problem, How Wrong I was. Called me at 13.15pm saying couldn’t find any fault until I told them engine needs to running for a good 20mins until eventually the error showed up for them,but it was a complete waste of time they don’t have the equipment to pinpoint the fault.

Afternoon. The vehicle was booked in for an all day appointment. As mentioned we found a generic fault code. Martin the service advisor discussed in detail how this would require further investigation. Possible faults included spark plugs, fuel filter, valve clearances & oxygen sensor. We also mentioned this could be down to the fuel which type which was also been used. Unfortunately the customer expected a full vacuum or pressure test carried out on the day of booking - This also would not of been covered within the initial £90.00 diagnostic fee. I would like to add the customer was not not charged at all for the technicians time.

I had my car in for a service and MOT, I also picked up a Courtesy car which was immaculately clean, Deborah was a great help and kept me in the loop with what was going on with my car via phone and email, I will use Vertu Honda Durham for another service and MOT or even for buying my next vehicle
