Car went in fine came our with engine management light on. Let me drive off without telling me. When I noticed and took it back they said they were aware. Didn't think to tell me. And said to bring it back a week later to look at it

The fault stored was a historical and not a currently present fault relating to the EGR. We cleared the fault and completed the MOT and service as well as a wash all with no EML on. The customer collected and came back 5 min later and advised the EML light had just come on. I explained the light was on when getting the vehicle in and advised we had checked the fault codes and what had found. I said I'm happy to get it back in and do another check for her right away, or at her earliest convenience, We looked and found a poor connection to the EGR, we cleaned and resecured the connector and tested - all ok. Advised customer what we found, didn't charge her for this.

Thank you for your feedback. Sometimes fault do occur on vehicles after an event or a historical fault can represent itself. The garage have been swift in the response to put this right.
