"Excellent service. Very friendly staff. I had to reschedule at short notice and they were very accommodating. I would highly recommend 1st Class Garage."
"Happy with the work, although MOT advisories were rectified during service so seemed sensible to do MOT after so they didn't appear as they are now sorted but still on my MOT for 12 months. The garage having different service types and prices to the one's offered on their site is confusing. Had a call about a water leak (I hadn't noticed I was losing water) and quoted nearly £200 of which only £60 was for the part. Rest seemed to be labour and VAT. Pretty pricey for me. 2 bulbs were replaced (costing a couple of pounds) and accidently not charged for and the guy contemplated charging me for such a small cost and said he would put it on the bill next time."
Garage Response: Thank you for your review, I will try and clarify for you in my reply to your comments As stated when you dropped the car off the reason we put vehicles through its MOT before we service it, allows us to contact a customer should the vehicle fail and require costly repairs in order to make it legal, This will mean the customer can put off the service cost if the budget is quite tight. Apologies if the service pricing menu was slightly confusing to you, I did try to explain that the servicing when booked through the Book My Garage Website is generically priced and the cost would depend on the cars previous service history. I tried to explain that not all filters or plugs are changed at every full service as they can be mileage not time dependant, therefore may attract extra charges as stated on the Book My Garage service schedule. The water leak as explained is from the plastic thermostat housing, Hopefully you can get it renewed before it decides to let you down. Prevention is usually best. The price quoted is as laid down in the industry standard time manual which is what we, and all reputable garages use when pricing customers cars. I apologise for having to charge a labour rate of £70 but my overheads, technicians wages and HMRC dictate my labour rate. The 2 bulbs fitted free and for which we never charged were done with the comment 'I will put it on the bill next time' is a recognised way of saying we have done that free of charge, so apologies if you didn't see the humour in the comment. We welcome all comments and reviews as we are, and always have believed in customer care and honesty in the 26 years that we have been in business.
