"Very happy. Work was done fast but Tina high standard and was a very good price for the work that was done."
"Good job at a reasonable price. Only carried out work that was necessary. First time I’ve used this garage and will use them again."
"Booked online, quick handover off car, some minor things needed to pass M.O.T, but was contacted beforehand, and informed of the cost. I have used Sai's Garage before and will continue to do so. As it's hard to find a trusted mechanic these days."
"I was happy with the process, well done work at a good price."
"Booked my car for in for a MOT and service. Staff found damage to front suspension. The work was carried promptly and staff kept me well informed all the way through. Superb job, highly recommended."
Such a friendly crew
"They were all so lovely and they finished the job a lot faster than I had expected! They were constantly making sure I was fine and asked if I had needed anything which was very nice. 100% would go back again,"
"Faultless service from start to finish. Car picked up from home and dropped back after the service. Time keeping perfect and prices low. Would recommend."
A cambelt, or timing belt (they are exactly the same thing), is a crucial component of your car's engine. It keeps the crank and camshaft timed properly and ensures that the two halves of the engine are synchronised.
Cambelts should be replaced at certain mileage or time intervals. This could be anything from 50,000 miles up to 100,000 miles or 5 years; you should check your service schedule for your vehicle model, and make sure you don't leave it too late. If you've purchased a second hand car and are unsure about when the cambelt was last changed, don't delay - have a trusted garage check its status.
Unfortunately there aren't any particular warning signs that a cambelt needs replacing; they can wear out over time or they can suddenly fail. However, if you do hear any strange noises from your engine, don't run the risk; use Book My Garage to find a reputable, trusted garage near you to check it out.
Founded by a Scottish marine engineer in (you guessed it) Vauxhall, London in 1857, the company has been under the umbrella of American giant General Motors since 1925. Notable former Vauxhall cars include classics such as the Victor, Chevette, and Cavalier, while the current car range includes city cars like the Adam and Viva, extended range electric cars like the Ampera, the Astra, and the Zafira Tourer, a large MPV. Vauxhall also sells high-performance versions of a smattering of its offerings under the sub-brand VXR.
In the UK market at least, Vauxhall is regularly in the running with Ford to top the sales charts (although it’s never quite taken top spot).
About the Vauxhall Corsa
Due to generous offers on the sales front, the previous model of the Vauxhall Corsa was one of the most popular sold in the UK after its introduction, despite similar offerings from the other big producers. However, the current Corsa makes a number of improvements on its predecessor including loads of extra space and improved looks. With three and five door options, there’s something for everyone. The main issue that has come up with this make, particularly the 2008 Vauxhall Corsa, is clutch burnout. If that’s been a problem for you, we can help you find the right garage to fix the problem.
