Not sure why they recommend new brake pads when they are 60% worn. No need, just advise on the wear so customers have an idea when they actually need changing

Car booked in for service and MOT. Got a video to say my car would fail the mot on front brake pads. Called up to say don't do the mot if not already done. Was told it had already been done. Arrived to pick my car up and it was just going in for mot. No explanation as to why I was lied to. Took car home and changed pads. Mot said pads where under 1.5mm when actually they where between 3.5 and 5mm and didn't need changing urgently.failed retest for a gash in tyre. Not there before went in. AWFUL
