“Quoted £50 more on arrival”

I booked an MOT and service, in advance, at the advertised price. On arrival I was told the oil would cost an extra £50. This last-minute price increase felt misleading and significantly more than other garages advertised. The garage itself was in a field-like setting, messy, muddy and very unprofessional in appearance, which only added to my concerns. I refused the work and left. I would not recommend this business.

Hi Dominique we are sorry you feel this way from our point of view on your booking it does state that the initial quote you received is for general oil only which is a low grade oil, we didnt want to put this oil in your vehicle as your vehicle requires VW504 oil which is a long life oil and unfortunately costs more and also unlike most independent garages we do not use the oil sump plug we replace them which again is an extra costs but will save you on oil leaks from your oil sump we also use only warranty approved parts and fluids so if your vehicle was in warranty your warranty will not be void this is why we recommended to go with the additional costs. In terms of our location due to the recent weather we understand it was muddy but this is beyond our control.
