The vehicle came in on Thursday 13th for mot , the customer was informed that it had failed on some items (first communication) he gave us permission to complete the work & we did inform him that it would not be ready till the following day & we would inform him when it was ready , ( second communication) 4pm on the Friday he got a call from us to say it was ready & that the "DPF " light would be on & that he needed to ,first try a "DPF" cleaning fluid & give it a drive ( passive regen ) , if that did not work then bring it to us to do a " Forced regeneration with our computer . we rang a gain at 4,45 (Third communication ) to ask if he was coming as we close at 5pm . He arrived at 5,15 as we were leaving ,so we opened the garage to to allow him to collect his vehicle. At no point did we say we would do the passive regeneration & that it was for him to try first.
