Hendy Renault/Dacia Brighton

I booked my car for a service and MOT, but Hendy refused to do the MOT after a “health check”, saying there were too many faults. Everything was marked in red as urgent, adding up to thousands of pounds. My car’s ten years old, so some wear is expected — these items shouldn’t have been classed as urgent or used to refuse an MOT. Another garage did the MOT without issue; it only needed rear brake and handbrake repairs costing £450. It was stressful, wasted a day of work. I won’t use Hendy again.

Clear signage, attitude of workshop staff was abrupt and poor, overall service was very poor I waited an hour to collect car due to errors in respect of tyre changes that needed to be made. No one has rang me back regarding a discrepancy of brakes pads needing replacing after 11 months from the same garage selling the car. Need to work on well-being of staff and better communication between front desk and workshop. Poor experience other than Darren trying to make the best of a bad situation.

When you search on book my garage they give you £185 for full service after you book it you receive and email saying that price changed and now the service will cost you £360.
