This customer was called multiple times throughout the day to advise of Both the MOT Failure on the front brake pads, alongside service advisories. customer declined all the work including front brake pads - Due to having front brake pads at home and we tried to explain we only Supply & Fit parts due to warranty on parts we provide. customer wasnt happy that we wouldnt use his pads (they were also at his house so he was expecting a driver to go pick them up aswell) After declining the use of his supplied pads, he asked for the Brake pad measurement to confirm they would be a failure. I explained to the customer that during MOT checks, The testers are not required to measure brake pad wear, they can fail or advise based on just the visual amount of pad left, this is why we dont have an exact MM. however i did inform the customer that these pads are roughly 85-90% worn. Unfortunately the card machine did freeze twice for about 45 seconds but this was quickly rectified.
