"Second time I have used this garage for an MOT and Service. Quick, reliable and always the cheapest around. Couldn't fault."
"Really happy with CSS. I needed a quick MOT so made my appt. online, they rang to say they were fully booked but when I explained, she fitted it in. They rang to let me know the MOT was done, and replaced my tyres at my request. Didn't charge me the earth and rang me when completed. Would definitely recommend."
Honest and friendly
"I've used South Hill Garage 3 times. The first 2 times were for minor problems. I was so impressed with their honest & friendly advice, I took my car in for a full service & MoT (plus a few extras e.g. air con re-charge). Everything was done quickly and to a high standard. They kept me well informed, and the most expensive repair (wiper arm) cured a long-standing problem. I'll definitely go back there for next year's MoT & service."

Very professional service
A car radiator disperses heat away from the main engine block. A car engine works by burning fuel (whether petrol or diesel), and this generates a considerable amount of heat. In addition, a car engine has many moving parts; this movement creates friction, which in turn adds to the heat.
Because a car engine must remain not too hot in order to avoid overheating and seizure, when it reaches a certain temperature the thermostat opens to allow the flow of coolant and water around the engine and back to the radiator, where it loses heat to the cooler surrounding air. The front grill of the car allows outside air to blow over the radiator. If the radiator gets too hot, for example on a very hot day, or when the car is stationary, a fan behind the radiator starts, helping to blow air over it.
The most common reason for needing a car radiator repair is a leak. There are many seals, gaskets and hoses in the cooling system that can deteriorate or get a hole in them. Furthermore, every radiator needs to be properly maintained and the coolant must be kept topped up. Your garage should provide coolant changes at the same time as your annual service.
It’s also a good idea to check your car’s coolant level regularly. If it seems to be dropping a lot, then you may have a leak in the cooling system.
Driving in the East of England
The Fens, Norwich Cathedral, Sutton Hoo, not to mention the world renowned buildings and atmosphere of Cambridge University - the East of England is packed with great driving destinations. One of the warmer, drier and more sheltered regions of the UK, coastal areas in the summer do suffer from low cloud coming in from the North Sea which can affect driving conditions. However, the predominantly flat landscape makes for generally safe roads well suited to pleasurable motoring.
