Had an MOT and was told that I needed new break cable and caliper plus a new rubber gator as it was seriously deteriorated. Took it to a friend of mine who is a mechanic for a second opinion. Nothing wrong with rubber gator except a missing clip, replaced clip and cleaned,break cable replaced but existing caliper cleaned up as nothing wrong with it. All in all cost me under £200 including labor to fix. Took back to F1 and they passed it on retest so why did they say I needed all news stuff £600?
