Good customer service
"I received great customer service"
Great peace of mind
"My car needed a service and I was honestly dreading it. Luckily I found Acton Service Centre and they really put my mind at ease. I found them very honest and reliable. My car was serviced in a timely fashion and I was kept informed throughout. I was also given some recommendations about my car without ever being pushy about replacing parts."
"It was a 2004 Focus with >130k miles on the clock so it would have been easy to come up with a silly MOT bill. The guys were very helpful and kept me informed through the whole process."
"Very happy with service"
Very good service
"What I think is missing in comparison to other places is the car valetting"
"The guys here are always polite and make you feel comfortable. Wouldn’t take my car anywhere else"
"Very happy with quality of garage. Too many reminder phone calls, emails and text messages to book the appointment, even after appointment was booked."
"Excellent communication. No messing about. Very helpful. Did a great job. Excellent customer service. I will use them again."
"The customer service there is top notch"
The clutch is perhaps the most important part of a car’s transmission system. It comprises two metal plates which are responsible for maintaining a connection between the engine and the gearbox. When the driver depresses the clutch pedal the plates come apart, separating the engine from the drive wheels, allowing you to change gear. Bringing the pedal back up re-engages the plates which in turn connect the engine to the drive wheels.
Excessive noise and vibration from the clutch area can be caused by a bad release bearing or pilot bearing. If this is the case in your car, the garage will take apart the clutch assembly in order to replace the bearings.
If the clutch is grabbing and shuddering as it’s engaged, the garage may need to take a look at the flywheel as well. Many modern vehicles are fitted with a dual mass flywheel; a rotating mechanical device which can break down. There’s no easy way for garages to check for this without disassembling the clutch and inspecting the pressure plate and flywheel. If the clutch pedal is giving little or no resistance, the problem could be a seal leak in the master or slave cylinder.
How to be a better driver
Whether you’re driving in Hounslow or further afield, think about road user etiquette. Showing respect for other road users makes driving more pleasant for you and safer for everyone. For example, if you have to make a last minute change of lane, make your request to change clear to the driver who will need to let you in - and signal your thanks if they do. Be ready to abandon the change of lane if they won’t play ball - your safety (and that of other drivers and pedestrians) is more important than getting to your destination in the shortest time possible. When the position is reversed and a driver asks your permission to change lanes, allow them to as long as it is safe. If you get frustrated, avoid using your horn - it won’t improve matters and might make them considerably worse.
