great customer service
"great service and customer contact, mot carried out at a great price and the garage even stayed open as my wife was a little late picking the car up....will be going to central tyre for future work."
"I'd seen good reviews for Budjet Tyres and thought I'd check them out. Got my car booked in for Mot and Full Service and from start to finish the staff at the garage were fantastic. My car hadn't been serviced for a while, so I expected it to need some work. After having my car for an hour or so I received a phone call from them to confirm my car did indeed had a few things wrong with it. The staff went through everything thoroughly and explained what work needed doing. I was then told a cost and this was broken down, so I understood exactly what I was paying for. They gave me a really reasonable price on everything, so it wasn't as big a bill as I'd expected. When I went to pick my car up, the staff were friendly and went through everything again for me. They couldn't have been better and my car has worked wonderfully since. I will definitely be bringing my car here in future!"

A car radiator disperses heat away from the main engine block. A car engine works by burning fuel (whether petrol or diesel), and this generates a considerable amount of heat. In addition, a car engine has many moving parts; this movement creates friction, which in turn adds to the heat.
Because a car engine must remain not too hot in order to avoid overheating and seizure, when it reaches a certain temperature the thermostat opens to allow the flow of coolant and water around the engine and back to the radiator, where it loses heat to the cooler surrounding air. The front grill of the car allows outside air to blow over the radiator. If the radiator gets too hot, for example on a very hot day, or when the car is stationary, a fan behind the radiator starts, helping to blow air over it.
The most common reason for needing a car radiator repair is a leak. There are many seals, gaskets and hoses in the cooling system that can deteriorate or get a hole in them. Furthermore, every radiator needs to be properly maintained and the coolant must be kept topped up. Your garage should provide coolant changes at the same time as your annual service.
It’s also a good idea to check your car’s coolant level regularly. If it seems to be dropping a lot, then you may have a leak in the cooling system.
Driving in the North West
The North West region includes the major cities of Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool and Carlisle, as well large areas of unspoilt countryside in the UK. A land of superlatives, the Lake District boasts both the highest mountain (Scafell Pike) and the largest lake in England (Lake Windermere); Lakeland Fells in Cumbria is wettest place in England, and Cross Fell in the Pennines the coldest. As such, drivers in the North West need to be prepared for all manner of driving conditions and issues, particularly during the winter months.
