I am absolutely disgusted with the service I got from londesborough motors. My car went for MOT it failed . I was told it was a small part on steering and was given a written estimate with various things written down . I paid for MOT and brought the car away as I was quoted £745 where the hell that price came from I don't know . I went to my regular mechanic and he said it was totally ripping me off. Took the car got what was done sorted passed no problem it cost me £113 I wouldn't recomend

We are extremely sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at Londesborough Motor Services. Your vehicle failed it's MOT due to the steering rack gaiter being missing or no longer preventing the ingress of dirt, and the steering rack having excessive free play. The safety of our customers is paramount, and as we explained at the time, we could replace the gaiter and attempt to adjust the rack to get the vehicle through the MOT, BUT our recommendation would be to replace both parts which would fix the issue and ensure your vehicle was safe to drive in the future. The estimate of £745 was for a full repair, including new power steering rack NOT for replacing "a small part" just to get it through it's MOT. I apologise if we have not explained this more clearly.
