“Excellent customer service”

Had MOT and service at Alexander’s. Communication excellent - telephoning ahead of time to ask if I wanted pollen filter changed as they usually do with a service, but this hadn’t been included with the Book My Garage quote. Kept informed throughout service and car ready earlier than I had expected. Staff friendly and helpful. Very satisfied customer.

“Final price not as booked price”

We booked Mot + Interim service at a price of £268. On collection of car the price charged was £303. I asked why the extra and was told it was for the pollen filter that the garage said has to be changed every year? I queried this further and the manager said if I booked direct with garage there would not be the extra charge. It's a real shame that the garage did this because we just wanted to support our local garage for the two cars in the family.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, and we are sorry that you feel unhappy with the final price. As I explained to you when you collected, we have no control over the way that Book My Garage structure their service items, and we would always change the pollen filter every year, as it's the filter for the air into the cabin which you breath in. It did appear that you were happy with the explanation when you left. We do normally explain this to all customers that book via Book My Garage, but seems this wasn't communicated early enough to yourself on this occasion. As you can see from our feedback, we do always strive to provide excellent customer service, so it is disappointing we didn't achieve that.
