In the past 12-months, as of April 2025, the BookMyGarage platform has generated more than £93 million of retail custom for both independent businesses and the franchised network, often filling last-minute availability in workshops.
For independent garages on our profit-boosting Accelerate programme, which propels garages to the top of online searches in their localities, the results are even more impressive. In the first three months of 2025 alone, Accelerate garages secured £15.2 million worth of the platform’s overall £25.5 million retail business accounting for 60% of all bookings.

We pride ourselves on partnering with independent garages which provide the highest levels of service and match our customer-centric ethos. Motorists booking via the platform are encouraged to leave a review of the garage they visited to continually enhance their online reputation. However, it is the coveted Trust Pilot rating that is arguably the most definitive accolade and we standout with 4.6 stars out of 5.
3. Real bookings not just quote requests
When we launched in 2016, our aim was to be more than an aggregator of local garages and the prices they charge, we wanted to drive real business into our partners’ workshops and deliver a tangible service to the motorists.
Motorists make real bookings via our platform with our garage partners. We are not merely a provider of quotations, leads, or, as we see it, an unnecessary go-between. Our platform drives real work into workshops whilst consumer users can book live slots with our partners whose garage management systems are integrated with ours.
4. No booking fee for cancellations
We’re pleased to report that no-shows booked via our platform are few. However, we pride ourselves on offering a fair and transparent service to our garage partners. Thus, our booking fee is only payable once the work has been completed*. Garages are not charged for customer-cancelled bookings and no-shows which gives our partners even more reason to use our platform.
Winchester-based Williams Garage has been partnered with BookMyGarage for almost eight years with 952 customers booked via the platform. Almost all customers (94%) attended and have left 524 reviews with a score of 4.8 out of 5 whilst the final invoice value for work completed was an average of £337.

5. Payments made direct to garage partners
The motorist pays the garage direct once the work has been completed. Garages then pay us the booking fee. Once the motorist has undertaken the appointment and the work has been completed and paid for, the customer ‘belongs’ to the garage. Garages are free to market that customer themselves and if the customer books direct in the future, there is no booking fee to pay.
Of course, if the same customer books again via our platform, the booking fee is payable on completion.
6. In control of pricing, availability and services offered
From day one, it was important to us that our garage partners retained control when it came to setting prices, the slots made available to book and the services they offer. There is no bidding or quoting for work. Our garage partners set their own parameters and retain complete control of their business.
Garage partners are free to amend their pricing, availability and services they offer, even after their listing is live. Integration of our online booking tool with the garage’s own diary system provides even more control over live availability.
7. Additional work is between the garage and the customer
Any additional work identified as part of the booking is strictly between the garage and the customer which means we don’t take any extra revenue. With an average of 22% of cars failing their MOT, any remedial MOT works required is additional revenue for the garage alone.
We are delighted to report that most of the final invoices our garage partners raise with customers are higher than the original booking. In fact, the average invoice value from our bookings is £297.
8. Online booking tool
Our online booking tool can be embedded into garage partners’ websites to help capture those out-of-hours bookings and reduce incoming calls for the garage. What’s more, any bookings which are made on a garage’s website (and not through our platform) are not charged a booking fee, we consider them to be a direct booking with the garage.
Thus, we enable garages to punch above their weight by offering the digital tools today’s customers expect. More than a third (35%) of BookMyGarage customers book out of hours representing a significant proportion of business that could otherwise be missed.
9. Marketing support
Garages benefit from an expert team of marketing professionals at BookMyGarage who are responsible for driving even more traffic to our partners’ bespoke directory listing pages.
As a Google Approved Partner, we undertake highly targeted online PPC campaigns on behalf of our garage partners to capture local online search interest and boost business even further. Our team can also develop bespoke, garage-branded websites for our partners increasing all-important online presence and our industry leading booking tool can be embedded on their site.
Our internal marketing team is made up of leading industry experts who have overseen thousands of garage campaigns over the past 10 years. Our insights and recommendations are based on the vast amount of data we have generated over that time so our garage partners can be assured that their online campaigns are engineered by our specialists for the best performance.
10. Boost online reputation with reviews
We fix a widget to the garage’s own website to showcase customer reviews which enhances a business’ online reputation. Independent garages receive an average of 91 reviews from customers which leaps to an average of 142 for businesses signed up to the Accelerate marketing package.
On average, Accelerate members receive 56% more reviews and 45% more retail bookings. Garages can also highlight customer reviews on their own website which encourages even more customers to book with them.
