Car went in for MOT, now collected and my rear parking camera has stopped working, heated seats won’t work, heating system display failing and I’m getting an error message. Took it back and they say they haven’t done anything and I’m to take it to a Kia dealership! Absolutely nothing wrong with my car until they have touched it! They reckon it’s a coincidence 😡 now stuck with this until Kia can see me at end of March!!!

Hi Cathryn, I am really sorry you felt you had to leave this review, as you know we spent 45 minutes on your car a few days after we completed the MOT free of charge to look into the issue that I feel is nothing to do with the Mot we did, I spoke to you myself and at no point did you tell me this is how you felt, I was sure you was happy with my explaination. As I explained an Mot is a visual check and at no point did we touch your heated seats and display, we carried out a full free of charge check after you called to explain what was wrong even though I was certain it was nothing to do with the Mot we completed, I hope you get it sorted - Barry Service manager

Called me a day later to cancel the appointment saying Marshall's data base did not link with Book my Garage data base so could not fit me in until Friday 9th (7 days later) which was not convenient for me. Not good service, had to book another garage. Marshalls reception very polite though.

Good morning David, I do apologise about this, our explanation was correct the Book my Garage platform does not link with our diary and normally this is never an issue as we can cater for most work from Book my Garage, we had an unforeseen issue with our Mot testing area which left us with just two ramps on the day you asked to book, sorry about this please do try us again next time - Barry Service Manager

Dear David, we did speak to the Service Manager on site Barry who explained that they experienced MOT ramp failure which was unforeseen and therefore not to disappoint their customers they decided to contact all MOT customers to reschedule their appointments. As you can appreciate the site had no control over the failure and acted in good faith and accordingly to advise their MOT customers of the situation. We apologise for any inconvenience caused but this was a rare case where it was out of the garages control.

Mot booked 3 months in advance and cancelled day before they said due to ramp being broken. I had to find another garage at the last minute which cost me more money to my expense. When I passed the garage at 9am on the day of the MOT the garage door was open and both mechanics were working underneath cars on the 2 ramps which was up the air and clearly working. Obviously either overbooked or didn't want to do the mot at the advertised price. Complete liars and wouldn't recommend.

Good morning Graeme, I am sorry you felt this way, unfortunately we can not predict machine failure, we tried to reschedule you a week before your appointment and not the day before as suggested in your review, we also gave you the option to use our other branch which I believe you did at the same cost. Yes you are correct our technicians were working on ramps, there was nothing wrong with our service ramps, as explained on the call we had an issue with our Mot brake tester meaning we could not access the Mot ramp. I can assure you we was not overbooked and I do not like turning any work away but unfortunately this was out of our control. Barry - Service Manager
