New and exciting awards for Customer Excellence were presented by BookMyGarage as sponsors at the Aftermarket Awards 2023, with the trophies also coming with a weekend for 2 in Portugal.

With the normal tough competitions including Aftermarket’s Top Technician and Top Garage Awards taking place, some of the most accomplished individuals in the automotive industry were celebrated during the ceremony.

The results of the competitions were announced at an event held in Coventry on Saturday 14th October 2023.

BookMyGarage was pleased to present the Customer Excellence Awards to Smile Servicing & Repairs Ltd for the best single garage, and IN ‘n’ OUT Autocentres for the best group.

Top Technician Award

The final of the Top Technician competition took place on Saturday 14th October at Delphi Academy in Warwickshire.

Out of the incredible five finalists, George Bettley from Crewe SEAT in Cheshire took home this year’s Top Technician award, presented by Snap-on. Bettley was awarded a weekend for 2 from BookMyGarage and a significant cash prize from Aftermarket magazine. Bettley also received a range of tools and training from Snap-on and several other established brands in the automotive industry.

As runner-up, David Weston from KIA UK in Surrey received a cash prize from Aftermarket and prizes from the sponsors.

BookMyGarage’s very own Douglas Rotberg was one of the judges on this panel.

Top Garage Award

As for the Top Garage award, there were winners in seven main categories. The managers and owners of the businesses in the competition faced a panel of judges in the final at the Delphi Academy on Saturday 14th October.

Business with 1 to 3 Employees: Presented by Delphi

Drive Green Motor Services, Suffolk.

Business with 4 to 6 Employees: Presented by TOPDON

Links Automotive, Cheshire.

Business with 7 to 9 Employees: Presented by MOTUL

Cleevely Motors, Cheltenham.

Businesses with 10 Plus Employees: Presented by TPS

Oldfields Garage Services, Herefordshire.

Multi-site: Presented by ALLDATA Europe

Shaikly Motor Company, Essex.

In addition to the main Top Garage classes, staff members from several garages all competed to be crowned Top Service Advisor.

Top Service Advisor: Presented by TechMan

James Wheatley, Uckfield Motor Services, East Sussex.

Last but not least, an all-new category was introduced for 2023.
