Find Out Range Information About Every Electric Car Available in the UK

All data refers to electric cars currently available in the UK.

The electric car with the longest range is the Mercedes EQS. It can cover up to 452 miles on a single charge.

Other cars with impressive long ranges are the Tesla Model S (405 miles), BMW i7 (387 miles), Mercedes-Benz EQE (377 miles) and the BMW iX (382 miles).

What is the Average Range of an Electric Car?

According to our data, the average range of an electric car is 263 miles. The models with the longest range are usually the more expensive, luxury models. For example, prices for the Mercedes EQS start from £105,610 and the standard Tesla Model S costs £93,480

The table below shows the difference in range between luxury and non-luxury cars. For the purposes of this calculation, we have classed luxury vehicles as those which cost over £50,000 as standard. All data refers to WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test) figures and so may not reflect real-world driving data.

You may find that your electric car has a shorter range in winter vs summer. This is because batteries produce less current in cold weather and are less effective as a result. This increases the recharging frequency.

The Range of Every Electric Car Currently Available in the UK

All data is accurate as of January 2024. We have taken official range figures directly from the manufacturer’s website and will update the list with new electric car releases throughout 2024.

All mileages are WLTP test figures and may not accurately reflect ‘real-world’ mileages (i.e. you won't travel as far on a single charge). All mileages are the max range of each electric car on a single charge from 100% to 0%.
