Service and MOT
"With this being my first MOT I thought the car would sail through so at first when I was told it needed wear and tear I was a bit shocked. But actually Paul took the time out to explain the car had done 30k miles it made complete sense whaynhe was saying, I’ll just make sure I keep on top Of tyres etc throughout the year and not just wait till next years MOT."
"They kept me upto date with the work, really helpful to explain any problems."
Amazing customer service
"A great garage - collection and delivery of my car wasn't a problem, my customer service rep couldn't have been better, everything was explained to me clearly and was provided a breakdown of costs over the phone as well as updates on how things were going. Will use them again in the future."
"Fantastic service as usual, had my car checked in no time, informed of the results. Will be back again every time i need anything done to my car. Have used this garage for two years now. Well done and thanks guys and girls!"
"When I arrived at Motorline Crawley they didn't have my booking on the system so was a bit worried about that however the lady said she would check and see could I still get it done today and she came back and said it can be done today so I couldnt thank her enough because as far as they were concerned I hadn't booked in or nothing. The service was good and everything was working grand and they even washed my car which was great. I was told the car would be there all day and that they would ring when finished or if they find any issues. All in all apart from the scare early in the morning about no booking on file which wasn't there fault a great experience and will use them next year for the next service/mot"
Wheels and tyres, as with any rotating object, need to be balanced in order to reduce vibration. A good example of this is when laundry is loaded into a washing machine unevenly, the drum is not correctly balanced, so vibrates. Similarly, wheel balancing ensures that the weight of the wheel and tyre is even around the axle.
You should always have your wheels balanced whenever you have new tyres fitted. Car tyres which are fitted on wheels that have not been properly balanced will wear very quickly and unevenly. This is due to the inconsistent points of friction between the tyre and the road, creating an effect like rubbing sandpaper on the tyre aggressively. Losing grip this way could be very dangerous and the vibration also makes the car’s ride very uncomfortable, possibly to a point of distraction that might lead to an accident.
Wheels are typically removed from a car before their balance is checked. They are placed in a specially-designed machine and spun to measure the vibration. Small offsetting weights are placed at points on the rim of the wheel based on results from the balancing machine. This is repeated until the machine reports that the wheel is balanced.
Boasting a lineup that includes one of the best-selling cars in the UK (the Qashqai), Nissan is a company known for being experimental. The Qashqai is noted as being one of the first true crossover SUVs. Alongside it, Nissan also offers the battery-powered Leaf, among lots of other cheap and cheerful options, such as the ever popular Micra, and the Note.
Since 1999, Nissan has been part of the Renault–Nissan Alliance, a partnership between Nissan and French automaker Renault. As of 2013, Renault holds a 43.4% voting stake in Nissan, while Nissan holds a 15% non-voting stake in Renault. Carlos Ghosn serves as CEO of both companies.
Selling cars under the Nissan, Infiniti, and Datsun brands, Nissan was the sixth largest automaker in the world behind Toyota, GM, Volkswagen Group, Hyundai, and Ford in recent years; however they are the leading Japanese brand in China, Russia, and Mexico.
How can you save money (and the environment) while you drive?
As every garage owner will tell you, there are some tried and tested ways to cut down on your petrol costs (and consumption) while you’re out and about in Petersfield or beyond. One is to shut your windows. If you can hear that wind noise in your car it’s costing you more to drive. This is because the car becomes less aerodynamic and has to work harder to motor along. Removing a roof rack will improve your fuel efficiency for the same reason. Another useful tip is to combine short trips into one; each time you drive after your car has been parked for a while the engine will be cold and need to use a lot more fuel for the first 5 miles or so. If you do one trip from school drop-off to supermarket to office you’ll use far less fuel than if you do all those trips individually.
