Great Secret Service
"Friendly, polite customer service form first point of contact. I used the car collection & delivery option and again excellent customer service - my car was collected and returned on times agreed, all the service paperwork was completed allowing me to review all the checks/work undertaken. The cost of the service was very competitive."
"good price good work carried out can't fault them."
Good at referring
"Booked MOT online. But they don't actually do MOTs. But they did refer me to a great garage which did it for 30 quid."
Fast and Good Value
"Overall pretty pleased; but did not pick up that the horn wasn't working and didn't check rear wiper as requested."
Can’t fault it
"Great, very happy, the only problem is that with all my other cars I got a report back detailing all the items checked and whether they needed attention sooner rather than later. With this service all I got was an itemised invoice for parts and labour. No idea what was checked, what might need attention or anything."
Great all round
"Brilliant gd staff could not do more"
"Very helpful staff , great service"
Cheaper than Audi
"I was able to get my car seen quickly. The garage staff were extremely helpful and updated me on the progress of my car. I will be using this garage in the future."
"Really happy with the way the company carried out the work they have done. Great value for money!"
"Very helpful, they kept me informed during working in progress"
Great service / comms
"Wonderful service and communication, brand new courtesy car for only £15, highly recommend as they do all makes not only Honda ( mine was ford) ."
Wheels and tyres, as with any rotating object, need to be balanced in order to reduce vibration. A good example of this is when laundry is loaded into a washing machine unevenly, the drum is not correctly balanced, so vibrates. Similarly, wheel balancing ensures that the weight of the wheel and tyre is even around the axle.
You should always have your wheels balanced whenever you have new tyres fitted. Car tyres which are fitted on wheels that have not been properly balanced will wear very quickly and unevenly. This is due to the inconsistent points of friction between the tyre and the road, creating an effect like rubbing sandpaper on the tyre aggressively. Losing grip this way could be very dangerous and the vibration also makes the car’s ride very uncomfortable, possibly to a point of distraction that might lead to an accident.
Wheels are typically removed from a car before their balance is checked. They are placed in a specially-designed machine and spun to measure the vibration. Small offsetting weights are placed at points on the rim of the wheel based on results from the balancing machine. This is repeated until the machine reports that the wheel is balanced.
