"Bob and the guys did an excellent job and went above and beyond what was needed. A real value-add service that corrected things that weren't part of the service at no extra charge. The work was completed in a short period of time and I was kept informed of progress throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend."
Once again great service
"Really friendly, trustworthy and convenient."
Value for money
"Happy with service recieved throughout"
"Was very happy"
"Was phoned and was informed of a little bit of work was needed to pass its MOT , I was given the price with the VAT and was given the choice whether to let them to do work or to take it away and have work done then bring it back. Was easier and cost efficient to leave them to do the work. Was phoned up again later and was told car has passed and my car was ready to pick up. Be using this garage again."
Good service and price
"Great staff and kept me informed and did some work I had not originally requested all in the same day"
"Overall very satisfied"
"Cant fault them, collected and brought back car to my work. Work was done quickly and kept me informed."
"Very happy, always kept informed"
"Very happy with service received and although only booked in for one issue, the team checked it thoroughly and kept me informed. I did initially try and book online and was advised someone would contact me which didnt happen and I had to make contact myself however glad I did and pleased with outcome."
"I booked through book my garage because I liked the FREE collection and drop off that some garages offered in their packages. However I had to drop the car off the day after the service was meant to be . Another word the garage was waiting for me to drop off whilst I am expecting someone to come and collect the car from my home address!! They said we had you down as service only . Even though I still have an email confirmation to confirm that I've booked date, type of service and FREE collect & drop off. Service was good and professional can't dismiss it."
Any rotating object has to be balanced in order to reduce vibration and optimise its performance. We're all familiar with the vibration caused by an unevenly loaded washing machine drum; that's what your car tyres have to endure if the wheels have not been properly balanced. As a tyre wears, its balance may change slightly. And when you have new car tyres fitted, you will definitely need to have your wheels balanced.
If your car has a wheel that is out of balance, you will probably notice it most at speed. Often you will find there is a particular speed where this is most noticeable, and you’ll feel it through your steering wheel.
Your garage will usually take the wheel off the car to check its balance. They put the wheel in a machine that spins the it, and measures the vibration. The mechanic adds small weights to the rim of the wheel - the balancing machine tells him where to attach them - and the mechanic repeats the test until the wheel is satisfactorily balanced.
Founded by a Scottish marine engineer in (you guessed it) Vauxhall, London in 1857, the company has been under the umbrella of American giant General Motors since 1925. Notable former Vauxhall cars include classics such as the Victor, Chevette, and Cavalier, while the current car range includes city cars like the Adam and Viva, extended range electric cars like the Ampera, the Astra, and the Zafira Tourer, a large MPV. Vauxhall also sells high-performance versions of a smattering of its offerings under the sub-brand VXR.
In the UK market at least, Vauxhall is regularly in the running with Ford to top the sales charts (although it’s never quite taken top spot).
About the Vauxhall Corsa
Due to generous offers on the sales front, the previous model of the Vauxhall Corsa was one of the most popular sold in the UK after its introduction, despite similar offerings from the other big producers. However, the current Corsa makes a number of improvements on its predecessor including loads of extra space and improved looks. With three and five door options, there’s something for everyone. The main issue that has come up with this make, particularly the 2008 Vauxhall Corsa, is clutch burnout. If that’s been a problem for you, we can help you find the right garage to fix the problem.
