"I have been coming to Top Gear for 5 years and they always been brilliant. Always willing to go out their way to help."
"My car was collected when specified, service carried out as requested. Friendly staff member collected and returned my car as soon as service was complete. Advisories had costings which was very helpful. Overall very happy"
Would use again
"I used Ash Autos for the first time for service and breaks. I booked online then received a call from the garage the next day to confirm the booking and they offered free collection of my car. I had time restrictions on the day and they were great at working to my timeline. I was kept informed of costs and progress of work. Friendly staff! I will use them next time."
"They were 15 minutes late to open but the mechanic had been stuck in traffic and was apologetic. The work was done in good time and to a high standard. The waiting area was good, with a settee, TV, and free WiFi. The mechanic fully explained the advisory my car had on its MOT, without pressuring me to pay for any unnecessary repair work. They put my car back on the street instead of making me drive it out of the work area. All in all, I'd recommend this service centre."
"Great service, and the office was really accommodating to find the most suitable time for me to bring the car in. The mechanic went that extra mile and re-fitted a part that kept coming off my car, at no extra cost. I would highly recommend this garage."
"Booked an MOT online, really easy. I was then contacted by the garage later that day to confirm my appointment for my MOT. I will definitely use again!"

Wheels and tyres, as with any rotating object, need to be balanced in order to reduce vibration. A good example of this is when laundry is loaded into a washing machine unevenly, the drum is not correctly balanced, so vibrates. Similarly, wheel balancing ensures that the weight of the wheel and tyre is even around the axle.
You should always have your wheels balanced whenever you have new tyres fitted. Car tyres which are fitted on wheels that have not been properly balanced will wear very quickly and unevenly. This is due to the inconsistent points of friction between the tyre and the road, creating an effect like rubbing sandpaper on the tyre aggressively. Losing grip this way could be very dangerous and the vibration also makes the car’s ride very uncomfortable, possibly to a point of distraction that might lead to an accident.
Wheels are typically removed from a car before their balance is checked. They are placed in a specially-designed machine and spun to measure the vibration. Small offsetting weights are placed at points on the rim of the wheel based on results from the balancing machine. This is repeated until the machine reports that the wheel is balanced.
Founded in Hiroshima, Japan in 1920, Mazda started out as a manufacturer of machine tools and didn’t move into the automotive business until 1931, when they produced their first “autorickshaw”. They’ve come a long way since then! The name has an interesting backstory too - the company says that it is derived from Ahura Mazda, the ancient Persian god of light, intelligence, and wisdom.
But beyond all that, Mazda is a maker of affordable, economical cars that are fun to drive and don’t break the bank. They also have a few sports cars on offer, for those who want something with a bit more pizzazz. That coupled with their saloons, SUVs, and hatchbacks means that everyone should be able to find something to fit in their garage.
