"overall a great experience as they managed to fit me in at short notice even close to the xmas period. Car is runnning perfectly although they did not re-set the run flat indicator which came on a couple of days later. great value and a nice friendly group of staff"

Really friendly service!
"As a new driver, this was my first experience of going into a garage with my car. The service was fantastic and they were very friendly, always smiling and not the typical 'mardy tradesman' you sometimes expect. I was able to leave my car in their carpark overnight as I work night shifts, and then collect it in the evening before going back to work. This was incredibly useful and made life a lot easier for me. I don't know a lot about cars, but he gave me a little safety run down for the brakes after I collected it so I was aware, and offered future discounts. Can definitely recommend."
"Good service and have been taking both my cars here for some time now"
When a car is moving over rough or uneven surfaces, shock absorbers help to stop the car bouncing or vibrating too much and ensure that the tyres have full contact with the road surface all the time.
Enormous demands are placed on certain parts of cars when being driven. Shock absorbers are found on a car’s suspension, where they take the strain of all the constant bouncing up and down of the vehicle. Most cars’ wheels also have them. Worn shock absorbers will affect the car’s handling and braking, which can reduce your safety.
Shock absorbers have a piston inside them that moves up and down in line with the suspension and, depending on the vehicle, hydraulic fluid or air chambers absorb the energy from the road caused by vibration.
This waterfront city in Hampshire is the most densely populated city in the UK. This means that traffic can build at Portsmouth’s rush hour, but that it’s also packed with things to do and see for all ages.
Tourists are drawn to the area for its proximity to the sea, but Portsmouth’s naval history is also a prominent feature with numerous related attractions, such as The Historic Dockyard, the D-Day Museum, the Royal Naval Museum, and the Royal Marines Museum. A number of iconic ships adorn the dockyard such as the HMS Victory, the HMS Warrior and Henry VIII’s Tudor warship the Mary Rose. For those who can handle heights, there are marvellous views from the observation deck of the Spinnaker Tower, a sweep of glass and steel shaped like a sail, which lays claim to being Britain's tallest tower outside London.
Portsmouth has a prestigious literary history and is the birthplace of many celebrated authors from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to Michelle Magorian, H.G. Wells to Neil Gaiman and most notably, Charles Dickens. The modest house in Old Commercial Road was his former abode and has been restyled to resemble the original Dickens family home.
