"Found a solution to an issue a different garage couldn’t find- very happy with it!!!"
Excellent as always
"Excellent service and value as always."
"Very friendly and very happy with everything"
"Good value compared to main dealer, loan car available, and no fuss when I turned up late to drop the car off. Very impressed all round and will definitely use them again."
Solid service, good job
"Overall very good value for money, and work undertaken in a professional and timely manner. Note for improvement: probably sold themselves short on how effeciently they were working by the sparse updates, but at the end of the day it's better to know they were working on the car than making calls. This was my first time using this garage and I would definitely consider them for any furture work."
Great customer experience
"Had to get a last minute MOT done. No drama and completed the work on time. Phoned to give me update on results and informed of car pick up time."
"Had both our cars serviced at same time and one had an MOT. Very prompt in completing both and kept up to date on both cars as separate vehicles; not just when both where done. Very polite, friendly and professional. Would highly recommend."
When you're driving on a bumpy surface, your car's shock absorbers help to stop the car moving about and vibrating too much.
They are installed on your car's suspension and most cars have a shock absorber for each wheel. Although they don't support the weight of your vehicle, they control the suspension over rough surfaces, keeping the tyres in full contact with the road at all times.
They also absorb the impact of up and down movements for the rear suspension (not many cars have a rear axle) and front suspension components.
A piston inside the shock absorber moves up and down along with the suspension and springs to absorb the energy from the road. Hydraulic fluid or air chambers in the shock absorbers absorb excess energy.
Straight out of the Swedish city of Gothenberg, Volvo has become well-known for pushing out safe, reliable cars, making them one of the vehicles of choice for families around the globe. Initially made all the way back in 1924 to withstand the rigours of Sweden’s rough roads and cold temperatures, you could say they’ve come a long way!
The current Volvo range focusses mainly on traditional vehicle platforms, including hatchbacks, saloons, SUVs and estate cars. The ‘XC’ models cater to drivers who regularly get their cars a bit muddy and dirty off-road, while the ‘Cross Country’ versions are available for people going for a more traditional combination of on and off-road ability
