"Great value and service, was kept informed the whole time. Highly recommend"
Helpful and expert
"Great value, excellent work, very informative along the way. Clearly loves cars, describes what is going on, gives options and predictions, enabling me to make informed choices. Only advises what is needed, not automatically doing everything even if not required. Plus a free courtesy car (or drop-off). Great value. I'm definitely using them again."
Always great service
"Have used this garage for years. Always friendly, efficient and helpful. Took the car in for service early in the morning and received a phone call just after 10am to say that it needed some parts (brakes), work completed and car ready by 2pm. Reasonably priced and the guys here have a good sense of humour."
When you're driving on a bumpy surface, your car's shock absorbers help to stop the car moving about and vibrating too much.
They are installed on your car's suspension and most cars have a shock absorber for each wheel. Although they don't support the weight of your vehicle, they control the suspension over rough surfaces, keeping the tyres in full contact with the road at all times.
They also absorb the impact of up and down movements for the rear suspension (not many cars have a rear axle) and front suspension components.
A piston inside the shock absorber moves up and down along with the suspension and springs to absorb the energy from the road. Hydraulic fluid or air chambers in the shock absorbers absorb excess energy.
Founded in Hiroshima, Japan in 1920, Mazda started out as a manufacturer of machine tools and didn’t move into the automotive business until 1931, when they produced their first “autorickshaw”. They’ve come a long way since then! The name has an interesting backstory too - the company says that it is derived from Ahura Mazda, the ancient Persian god of light, intelligence, and wisdom.
But beyond all that, Mazda is a maker of affordable, economical cars that are fun to drive and don’t break the bank. They also have a few sports cars on offer, for those who want something with a bit more pizzazz. That coupled with their saloons, SUVs, and hatchbacks means that everyone should be able to find something to fit in their garage.
