WOULD USE AGAIN
"Over all great service, kept informed through out with suggestions of work needed but no pressure to do at the time, also offered courtesy car so wouldn't be without a vehicle but job done if good time so wasn't needed. Highly recommended."
Each year, Great Service
"The staff were really friendly and helpful. I arrived really early for my appointment and car park area was full but staff came out and moved cars around so i could drop my car off early to save me driving back and returning later. The staff provided the service that was requested and didn't try to upsell me any extras (which I've had at other places). Really happy with their service each year and happy to keep returning to them in the future. Highly recommend."
"Took my car to this place for MOT and service as my husband has used them before and they were great. They body shop also helped me with an issue when my bonnet wouldn’t close and didn’t even charge me! Really friendly receptionist, called me with the issue on the MOT straight away and fixed it within the hour. Feel like I can trust this company. Would definitely recommend"
"Did everything that was needed and gave it a good clean."
Nobody got back to me
"After calling several times nobody got back to me at all"
A car radiator disperses heat away from the main engine block. A car engine works by burning fuel (whether petrol or diesel), and this generates a considerable amount of heat. In addition, a car engine has many moving parts; this movement creates friction, which in turn adds to the heat.
Because a car engine must remain not too hot in order to avoid overheating and seizure, when it reaches a certain temperature the thermostat opens to allow the flow of coolant and water around the engine and back to the radiator, where it loses heat to the cooler surrounding air. The front grill of the car allows outside air to blow over the radiator. If the radiator gets too hot, for example on a very hot day, or when the car is stationary, a fan behind the radiator starts, helping to blow air over it.
The most common reason for needing a car radiator repair is a leak. There are many seals, gaskets and hoses in the cooling system that can deteriorate or get a hole in them. Furthermore, every radiator needs to be properly maintained and the coolant must be kept topped up. Your garage should provide coolant changes at the same time as your annual service.
It’s also a good idea to check your car’s coolant level regularly. If it seems to be dropping a lot, then you may have a leak in the cooling system.
How to be a better driver
Whether you’re driving in Exeter or further afield, think about road user etiquette. Showing respect for other road users makes driving more pleasant for you and safer for everyone. For example, if you have to make a last minute change of lane, make your request to change clear to the driver who will need to let you in - and signal your thanks if they do. Be ready to abandon the change of lane if they won’t play ball - your safety (and that of other drivers and pedestrians) is more important than getting to your destination in the shortest time possible. When the position is reversed and a driver asks your permission to change lanes, allow them to as long as it is safe. If you get frustrated, avoid using your horn - it won’t improve matters and might make them considerably worse.
