"I have been coming to Top Gear for 5 years and they always been brilliant. Always willing to go out their way to help."
"My car was collected when specified, service carried out as requested. Friendly staff member collected and returned my car as soon as service was complete. Advisories had costings which was very helpful. Overall very happy"
Would use again
"I used Ash Autos for the first time for service and breaks. I booked online then received a call from the garage the next day to confirm the booking and they offered free collection of my car. I had time restrictions on the day and they were great at working to my timeline. I was kept informed of costs and progress of work. Friendly staff! I will use them next time."
"They were 15 minutes late to open but the mechanic had been stuck in traffic and was apologetic. The work was done in good time and to a high standard. The waiting area was good, with a settee, TV, and free WiFi. The mechanic fully explained the advisory my car had on its MOT, without pressuring me to pay for any unnecessary repair work. They put my car back on the street instead of making me drive it out of the work area. All in all, I'd recommend this service centre."
"Great service, and the office was really accommodating to find the most suitable time for me to bring the car in. The mechanic went that extra mile and re-fitted a part that kept coming off my car, at no extra cost. I would highly recommend this garage."
"Booked an MOT online, really easy. I was then contacted by the garage later that day to confirm my appointment for my MOT. I will definitely use again!"
"mot completed with no fuss"
Good value service
"Car serviced and MOT undertaken without issue. Advice provided on service requirements based on age of car. No post service issues."
Job well done
"Truthful, friendly chap. Warned me he couldn’t do it immediately as he had a lot of work on. Fair enough, phoned to tell me car is ready after 5 days (including weekend). Not bad Ithought, labour cost about right, (saved me doing it myself!!). Even replaced track rod end at cost price . Motor now steering as it should, great job well done , thanks."
"Great service and value"
A car radiator disperses heat away from the main engine block. A car engine works by burning fuel (whether petrol or diesel), and this generates a considerable amount of heat. In addition, a car engine has many moving parts; this movement creates friction, which in turn adds to the heat.
Because a car engine must remain not too hot in order to avoid overheating and seizure, when it reaches a certain temperature the thermostat opens to allow the flow of coolant and water around the engine and back to the radiator, where it loses heat to the cooler surrounding air. The front grill of the car allows outside air to blow over the radiator. If the radiator gets too hot, for example on a very hot day, or when the car is stationary, a fan behind the radiator starts, helping to blow air over it.
The most common reason for needing a car radiator repair is a leak. There are many seals, gaskets and hoses in the cooling system that can deteriorate or get a hole in them. Furthermore, every radiator needs to be properly maintained and the coolant must be kept topped up. Your garage should provide coolant changes at the same time as your annual service.
It’s also a good idea to check your car’s coolant level regularly. If it seems to be dropping a lot, then you may have a leak in the cooling system.
Founded in Hiroshima, Japan in 1920, Mazda started out as a manufacturer of machine tools and didn’t move into the automotive business until 1931, when they produced their first “autorickshaw”. They’ve come a long way since then! The name has an interesting backstory too - the company says that it is derived from Ahura Mazda, the ancient Persian god of light, intelligence, and wisdom.
But beyond all that, Mazda is a maker of affordable, economical cars that are fun to drive and don’t break the bank. They also have a few sports cars on offer, for those who want something with a bit more pizzazz. That coupled with their saloons, SUVs, and hatchbacks means that everyone should be able to find something to fit in their garage.
What do you need from your garage?
This might sound like a question with an obvious answer: you need a garage that can service or repair your car quickly and at a good price. But think again and you may realise there are other factors that affect your choice of garage in Deal. If you need to bring your son or daughter with you when you take your car in, are there toys in the waiting room? If you’re dropping the car off between school and work, can you pick up a cup of coffee while you’re there? Might the garage even collect your car and drop it back at your house after the work is done? You can find answers to all these questions on BookMyGarage.
