"Very happy with the work done. Staff were very friendly and helpful"
Great Service but...
"I had a full service done. I was emailed an appointment time on the day which which was inconvenient. Woman told me to bring it in for the appointment time and she would make sure I was seen to whilst I wait however no woman was seen at the desk (appears to be offsite call centre I believe). Dropped the car off and sat around for a while, guy told me to come back for closing time which was 4 hours away. The price of the service and the quality (so far) have been excellent however they need to better manage their appointment times and advise an exact time upon booking and also advise collection times so people know whether to wait around or plan a time filler. I will be back though due to prices and quality of the workmanship."
"You came highly recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. I was booked in for an MOT at 9am I had to make some changes to my day and the garage were very accommodating and was able to change my time very last minute to accommodate the changes. My car was finished within the hour and the mechanic was very informative talking through the advisories and making sure I understood the information. Definitely now my go to garage."
Prompt and efficient
"Dropped the vehicle off at 830am for an mot, interim service and unidentified fault. Fault was quickly identified as a bad wheel bearing, all work was done and I had the car back by 2. Price was very reasonable for the work done. Would recommend!"
"I was kept informed and the work was carried out quickly and efficiently to a high level."
Quick turnaround of Mot
"Passed the MOT. ready in the hour"
"Professional, quick, reliable , good value for money"
"Quick & easy experience from booking online to picking my car up. Able to drop my car in early to fit around work and then collect at a time suitable for me. Staff are very friendly and prices are reasonable."
"After diagnosing my 'check engine' light, my options were laid out from the cheapest to the most expensive. I needed a new Cat. The work was completed the very next day, for a little less than I was expecting."
"Car feels great after a full , all singing and dancing service. When you don't know so much about cars, it's nice to be able to trust a local garage and its staff."
"Very happy with the service and good value - already recommended to family and friends"
"Have my car serviced and MOT here every year. Very happy."
A car radiator disperses heat away from the main engine block. A car engine works by burning fuel (whether petrol or diesel), and this generates a considerable amount of heat. In addition, a car engine has many moving parts; this movement creates friction, which in turn adds to the heat.
Because a car engine must remain not too hot in order to avoid overheating and seizure, when it reaches a certain temperature the thermostat opens to allow the flow of coolant and water around the engine and back to the radiator, where it loses heat to the cooler surrounding air. The front grill of the car allows outside air to blow over the radiator. If the radiator gets too hot, for example on a very hot day, or when the car is stationary, a fan behind the radiator starts, helping to blow air over it.
The most common reason for needing a car radiator repair is a leak. There are many seals, gaskets and hoses in the cooling system that can deteriorate or get a hole in them. Furthermore, every radiator needs to be properly maintained and the coolant must be kept topped up. Your garage should provide coolant changes at the same time as your annual service.
It’s also a good idea to check your car’s coolant level regularly. If it seems to be dropping a lot, then you may have a leak in the cooling system.
The second largest US-based automaker, Ford is a brand known around the world, with a number of strong performing vehicles in its ranks. No surprise there, as the company has been making cars since 1903. As the most popular of the North American brands in the UK, the Ford Focus and the Fiesta are probably well known to almost every driver on the road.
Popular for those looking for subcompact or compact cars, Ford makes a variety of configurations across a spectrum of performance standards. The last of Ford’s British car manufacturing plants was shut down in 2002, but you’ll still find Ford dealerships across the country - with garages that know how to deal with them as a consequence.
What do you need from your garage?
This might sound like a question with an obvious answer: you need a garage that can service or repair your car quickly and at a good price. But think again and you may realise there are other factors that affect your choice of garage in Daventry. If you need to bring your son or daughter with you when you take your car in, are there toys in the waiting room? If you’re dropping the car off between school and work, can you pick up a cup of coffee while you’re there? Might the garage even collect your car and drop it back at your house after the work is done? You can find answers to all these questions on BookMyGarage.
