"Booked online which was really simple. Dropped my car off friday evening and was ready for collection 9am saturday morning. The videos which show faults on the mot and what had been done on the service was extra peace of mind"
Always Great Service
"Always honest and professional. Discuss any repairs with you and only quote for what needs to be done."
"Booked in for the following Wednesday, Paul called me and fitted me in the next day on a Saturday and ordered the parts in advance. Road tested the car to check the diagnosis and promptly fixed the car to a high standard. Would definitely recommend."
"Good communication, work done as requested, car valeted as well, efficient. Could not fault"
"I brought my car to the garage at the booked time but was told it would be up to 2hrs before the car would be ready. I was hoping to wait 45mins as usual for an MOT so a little more communication beforehand wouldn't have gone astray. Parking is very difficult. Booking and paying was simple and efficient."
"MOT was very quick, so efficient, friendly staff who were honest and gave you straight answers to any questions you had about 'advisories' on MOT certificate."
"I have been coming to Top Gear for 5 years and they always been brilliant. Always willing to go out their way to help."
"My car was collected when specified, service carried out as requested. Friendly staff member collected and returned my car as soon as service was complete. Advisories had costings which was very helpful. Overall very happy"
Would use again
"I used Ash Autos for the first time for service and breaks. I booked online then received a call from the garage the next day to confirm the booking and they offered free collection of my car. I had time restrictions on the day and they were great at working to my timeline. I was kept informed of costs and progress of work. Friendly staff! I will use them next time."
"They were 15 minutes late to open but the mechanic had been stuck in traffic and was apologetic. The work was done in good time and to a high standard. The waiting area was good, with a settee, TV, and free WiFi. The mechanic fully explained the advisory my car had on its MOT, without pressuring me to pay for any unnecessary repair work. They put my car back on the street instead of making me drive it out of the work area. All in all, I'd recommend this service centre."
"Great service, and the office was really accommodating to find the most suitable time for me to bring the car in. The mechanic went that extra mile and re-fitted a part that kept coming off my car, at no extra cost. I would highly recommend this garage."
"Booked an MOT online, really easy. I was then contacted by the garage later that day to confirm my appointment for my MOT. I will definitely use again!"
A car radiator disperses heat away from the main engine block. A car engine works by burning fuel (whether petrol or diesel), and this generates a considerable amount of heat. In addition, a car engine has many moving parts; this movement creates friction, which in turn adds to the heat.
Because a car engine must remain not too hot in order to avoid overheating and seizure, when it reaches a certain temperature the thermostat opens to allow the flow of coolant and water around the engine and back to the radiator, where it loses heat to the cooler surrounding air. The front grill of the car allows outside air to blow over the radiator. If the radiator gets too hot, for example on a very hot day, or when the car is stationary, a fan behind the radiator starts, helping to blow air over it.
The most common reason for needing a car radiator repair is a leak. There are many seals, gaskets and hoses in the cooling system that can deteriorate or get a hole in them. Furthermore, every radiator needs to be properly maintained and the coolant must be kept topped up. Your garage should provide coolant changes at the same time as your annual service.
It’s also a good idea to check your car’s coolant level regularly. If it seems to be dropping a lot, then you may have a leak in the cooling system.
Founded in Hiroshima, Japan in 1920, Mazda started out as a manufacturer of machine tools and didn’t move into the automotive business until 1931, when they produced their first “autorickshaw”. They’ve come a long way since then! The name has an interesting backstory too - the company says that it is derived from Ahura Mazda, the ancient Persian god of light, intelligence, and wisdom.
But beyond all that, Mazda is a maker of affordable, economical cars that are fun to drive and don’t break the bank. They also have a few sports cars on offer, for those who want something with a bit more pizzazz. That coupled with their saloons, SUVs, and hatchbacks means that everyone should be able to find something to fit in their garage.
