"Originally just a full service which went to plan. Whilst doing the service, it was discovered that my brakes were pretty much 'shot to pieces' all round. I was given a telephone call and all of my options were talked through. I wasn't pressurised into having the work done but was given lots of help and advice. I eventually agree to the work and was told that despite the amount of work that needed doing, that it would all be done that day. It was and my car now feels like new!"
"Fast and efficient, additional works recommended and quoted for at a great price compared to others."
Great service at cutprice
"I was really happy with the service especially the free collection of the car from my house and then it being dropped off once the work was completed. However on the actual day I did have to ring to remind them to come for the car and also later to ask what time they would return it."
"Very pleased with service provided"
"Great service. Friendly and had a look at it for me the next day."
Great service all round
"Very happy, they even washed and vacuumed my ca"
Service as expected.
"I was kept updated with all the work needed for my cat to pass its MOT, everything looks well done. I am happy with the service."
"Excellent prompt friendly service"
"Very happy with the service and would certainly recommend. The car went in with a tricky engine management light issue which needed sorting to pass the MOT. A different garage had previously tried to resolve the issue without success. Budget Exhausts & Tyres were able to correctly diagnose the fault and got in touch with me the next day to confirm that the issue hadn't returned. Best of all the car left garage feeling great to drive again."
"Used garage via recommendation, good value and service. Would use again."
"Brilliant value for money and excellent work done quickly and efficiently."
"Lovely staff, great value, we will certainly use them again"
A car radiator disperses heat away from the main engine block. A car engine works by burning fuel (whether petrol or diesel), and this generates a considerable amount of heat. In addition, a car engine has many moving parts; this movement creates friction, which in turn adds to the heat.
Because a car engine must remain not too hot in order to avoid overheating and seizure, when it reaches a certain temperature the thermostat opens to allow the flow of coolant and water around the engine and back to the radiator, where it loses heat to the cooler surrounding air. The front grill of the car allows outside air to blow over the radiator. If the radiator gets too hot, for example on a very hot day, or when the car is stationary, a fan behind the radiator starts, helping to blow air over it.
The most common reason for needing a car radiator repair is a leak. There are many seals, gaskets and hoses in the cooling system that can deteriorate or get a hole in them. Furthermore, every radiator needs to be properly maintained and the coolant must be kept topped up. Your garage should provide coolant changes at the same time as your annual service.
It’s also a good idea to check your car’s coolant level regularly. If it seems to be dropping a lot, then you may have a leak in the cooling system.
Citroën is a major French automobile manufacturer, and has been part of the PSA Peugeot Citroen group since 1976. Founded in 1919 by French industrialist André-Gustave Citroën, within eight years Citroën had become Europe’s largest car manufacturer and the 4th largest in the world.
Citroën also produced Europe’s first completely steel-bodied car, all the way back in 1924. Ten years later, Citroën introduced further innovation to the world of automobiles with the Traction Avant, the world's first mass-produced front wheel drive car, and also one of the first cars with no chassis frame holding the mechanical components.
In the following years, Citroën produced the world’s first hydropneumatic self-levelling suspension system, the first mass production car with disc brakes, and swiveling headlights in cars, which allow for greater visibility on the road. You can say they are good at innovation!
