“Disputed Failed test”

I recently took my vehicle to Magic Motors in Chadwell Heath for its MOT and was extremely disappointed with both the outcome and the way my concerns were handled. The vehicle was failed on two items which I believed were questionable. One of the components was relatively new and showed only minor cosmetic damage, while the second failure was surprising given that the vehicle is only three years old. Following the MOT, I sought independent second opinions from two other reputable garages.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. The vehicle was inspected in accordance with DVSA MOT testing standards, and the defects recorded reflected the condition of the vehicle at the time of the test. In particular, the offside front tyre had a significant cut which was assessed as meeting the criteria for an MOT failure. We understand that you sought further opinions and have referred the matter to the DVSA. We respect your right to do so and will cooperate with any review they undertake. Our responsibility is to ensure vehicles meet the required safety standards. We remain confident that the test was carried out correctly and in line with the applicable regulations.
