After a full service, being a 20 year old, this garage thought they could get more money out of my pocket by telling me my brakes were a major problem (6% on the front and 16% on the rear) in fairness the rear offside brake calliper had locked however, other than the back right pads and calliper there were no other issues after taking it to another mechanic to do the job, an attempted daylight robbery on myself, a young nipper they clearly view as clueless, unacceptable service!

Sorry to hear that you are not satisfied.We would like to emphasize that we did not propose any repairs to you,but only advised what should be replaced next(especially before the next MOT!)as part of a full service.Furthermore,no estimate was generated,which confirms that we did not propose any repairs. Additionally,we would like to stress that in the case of brake binding(advisory on your MOT),it is usually recommended to replace the pads,discs,shoes,and sometimes the caliper,depending on the cause of the brake binding.It seems that you may not have fully understood what brake binding is,as it is not directly related to the wear of discs or pads.We do not agree we attempted to overcharge you.If that were the case, we would not have performed a diagnostic and cleared the EML free of charge

I took my car for MOT and left it because I had a meeting and couldn't wait. When I got back they had unexpected faults in the car. The worst part was that they took the cables out of the clamp on the exhaust and laid them on the exhaust. If it had been done before it would have definitely burned. Even if I assume they didn't do it, I did it myself there for a second job. They charged me an exorbitant fee. They charged me £670 excluding the parts. It's an unfair profit repair shop. We are very sorry that you are not satisfied with our service. However your opinion in not accurate. The amount paid in the garage was 49 pounds for the MOT alone. We presented an estimate for the repair including parts (not as stated excluding parts).What is written is not true that you paid us 670 pounds. I emphasize that you are not obligated to repair the car with us, and estimate was given as per request. The vehicle owner has full discretion over where and when they wish to repair their car if it fails the MOT. Additionally, MOT testers are strictly prohibited from making any modifications to a vehicle; they only assess its condition during the test. The allegation that our tester intentionally removed the wiring to charge for repairs is entirely untrue.
