"Good value for money, happy with overall service"
"Very happy with service"
"Great service car was collected by staff and bought back within a few hours. Only room for improvement would be to have the car cleaned before return but with such a good price I can afford to sort that myself"
Great service thanks
"Kept updated throughout. Informed of any potential repairs required prior to doing them. Great value service and MOT. Thanks"
"This garage were happy to do all they could to help and to make my life easier. As they knew I had a young son and a long commute to work they got the work completed a day before they originally planned too. They were great value and I felt I was in good hands! My car now feels so much easier to drive (it originally went in for a new tyre and they noticed the broken springs which made my vehicle dangerous to drive!) I would certainly recommend them."
Quick and Efficient
"Very user friendly, no fuss. Took car in at 9.00am, all completed satisfactorily by lunchtime. I would use this garage again."
Electric Power Steering, or “EPS” as it is also known, is a mechanism that helps you to steer your car. In most vehicles, the EPS relies on a electric motor to aid in turning the wheels. If you've ever driven a car with no Power Steering at all you will have certainly noticed the difference it makes.
Unlike hydraulic systems, electric power steering (EPS) doesn't use any form of hydraulic pressure to provide steering assistance. The technology is fully electric, with an electric motor providing direct assistance to the wheels. Since there is no power lost generating and transmitting hydraulic power, these systems are typically more efficient than hydraulic power steering.
Depending on the specific EPS system, an electric motor is mounted either to the steering column or directly to the steering rack. Sensors are used to determine how much steering force is required when it is applied so that the driver only has to use a minimum amount of effort to turn the steering wheel. Some systems have discrete settings that vary the amount of steering assist that's provided, and others work on a variable curve.
Boasting a lineup that includes one of the best-selling cars in the UK (the Qashqai), Nissan is a company known for being experimental. The Qashqai is noted as being one of the first true crossover SUVs. Alongside it, Nissan also offers the battery-powered Leaf, among lots of other cheap and cheerful options, such as the ever popular Micra, and the Note.
Since 1999, Nissan has been part of the Renault–Nissan Alliance, a partnership between Nissan and French automaker Renault. As of 2013, Renault holds a 43.4% voting stake in Nissan, while Nissan holds a 15% non-voting stake in Renault. Carlos Ghosn serves as CEO of both companies.
Selling cars under the Nissan, Infiniti, and Datsun brands, Nissan was the sixth largest automaker in the world behind Toyota, GM, Volkswagen Group, Hyundai, and Ford in recent years; however they are the leading Japanese brand in China, Russia, and Mexico.
How can you save money (and the environment) while you drive?
As every garage owner will tell you, there are some tried and tested ways to cut down on your petrol costs (and consumption) while you’re out and about in Perth or beyond. One is to shut your windows. If you can hear that wind noise in your car it’s costing you more to drive. This is because the car becomes less aerodynamic and has to work harder to motor along. Removing a roof rack will improve your fuel efficiency for the same reason. Another useful tip is to combine short trips into one; each time you drive after your car has been parked for a while the engine will be cold and need to use a lot more fuel for the first 5 miles or so. If you do one trip from school drop-off to supermarket to office you’ll use far less fuel than if you do all those trips individually.
