Always a good service
"No hassle, quick work, good price."
"I took my three-year old Audi A3 for its oil change and first MOT. Checking in was so easy - all the paperwork was ready on the front desk. At lunch-time I got a call to say that it had failed the MOT due to a nearly bald tyre. They quoted me a very reasonable price for a new one, ordered it to come on that afternoon's van and my car was ready by about 4. Quick checkout and that was that, a very happy customer. Much better than Audi in Harold Wood!"
"Great service. Quick efficient and friendly"
"Good service friendly and helpful staff. Fully explained what work would be needed to be carried out in the future. I will go back."
Great friendly service
"The staff are so friendly and keep you informed about the progress of the on going work. I would fully recommend them to you."
Electric Power Steering, or “EPS” as it is also known, is a mechanism that helps you to steer your car. In most vehicles, the EPS relies on a electric motor to aid in turning the wheels. If you've ever driven a car with no Power Steering at all you will have certainly noticed the difference it makes.
Unlike hydraulic systems, electric power steering (EPS) doesn't use any form of hydraulic pressure to provide steering assistance. The technology is fully electric, with an electric motor providing direct assistance to the wheels. Since there is no power lost generating and transmitting hydraulic power, these systems are typically more efficient than hydraulic power steering.
Depending on the specific EPS system, an electric motor is mounted either to the steering column or directly to the steering rack. Sensors are used to determine how much steering force is required when it is applied so that the driver only has to use a minimum amount of effort to turn the steering wheel. Some systems have discrete settings that vary the amount of steering assist that's provided, and others work on a variable curve.
Driving in the East of England
The Fens, Norwich Cathedral, Sutton Hoo, not to mention the world renowned buildings and atmosphere of Cambridge University - the East of England is packed with great driving destinations. One of the warmer, drier and more sheltered regions of the UK, coastal areas in the summer do suffer from low cloud coming in from the North Sea which can affect driving conditions. However, the predominantly flat landscape makes for generally safe roads well suited to pleasurable motoring.
