Proper Garage !
"I’ve been in the automotive industry for over 40 years and have worked with many of the big brands, if I had the facilities I could do a lot of repairs and maintenance myself, so having these guys local to me means I know I can get things done at reasonable costs in a place where they do a great job , you can just tell from looking round the workshop that people trust them with their cars of all levels, collectors Porsche, 13 year old BMW, an ACCobra and a 4 year old MINI cooper. I asked my neighbours who have less than new but nevertheless nice cars where they got work done and Sloane Services was consistently mentioned as a good local place to start"
"Checked my car for FREE and advised me that my mot is due soon. I will be booking it in very shortly"
"Very professional, arrived on arranged time to pick up my car.informed me on the progress of the work and no pressure sales to do any unwanted work. Will definitely recommend for customer service and value."
Can’t do enough for you
"Honest kind and do anything for you. Recommend"
"Onky thing missing is that they did not update the service information in the car. So even though it was serviced the onboard computer of the car has no information, this may be an issue when selling the car"
"Yes satisfied with the service"
great friendly garage
"overall a great experience as they managed to fit me in at short notice even close to the xmas period. Car is runnning perfectly although they did not re-set the run flat indicator which came on a couple of days later. great value and a nice friendly group of staff"
"All the work carried seems of very good quality until now, 1 week after. Being just before Christmas were very busy and took slightly longer than expected, but i prefer quality than speed. I would recommend anyway, my second time using this garage and i would do it again"
Electric Power Steering, or “EPS” as it is also known, is a mechanism that helps you to steer your car. In most vehicles, the EPS relies on a electric motor to aid in turning the wheels. If you've ever driven a car with no Power Steering at all you will have certainly noticed the difference it makes.
Unlike hydraulic systems, electric power steering (EPS) doesn't use any form of hydraulic pressure to provide steering assistance. The technology is fully electric, with an electric motor providing direct assistance to the wheels. Since there is no power lost generating and transmitting hydraulic power, these systems are typically more efficient than hydraulic power steering.
Depending on the specific EPS system, an electric motor is mounted either to the steering column or directly to the steering rack. Sensors are used to determine how much steering force is required when it is applied so that the driver only has to use a minimum amount of effort to turn the steering wheel. Some systems have discrete settings that vary the amount of steering assist that's provided, and others work on a variable curve.
An iconic brand - what can be said about BMW that hasn’t already been said? Renowned for their handling prowess and performance, BMW make it a point of pride to build beautiful cars. They even used to go by the tagline “The Ultimate Driving Machine” - no need to be humble when you’re BMW, after all.
The 3 and 5 series of BMWs are the foundation of their ranges, and widely thought to be the best cars that they make, full stop. The M5 has even held the position of best sporting saloon car in the world for the last 25 years.
On the more adventurous side of things, BMW have made some more niche outputs, such as the 5 series GT and the X6 more recently. Always on the cutting edge, BMW aren’t content to rest on their laurels. With no weak vehicles in their lineup, you know what to expect when you have a BMW in your garage.
