"The guys here are more than helpful and provided a very quick and efficient service. I have used the garage for the last few year and had no dramas at all for both my car and my wife’s. A star all round."
It’s a no brainer
"Easy online booking system, swift collection, great customer service and timely drop off. All in all I couldn’t wish for a better service. Thank you"
"Good communication, car picked up from home as arranged , minor works where required for the car to pass the MOT which i was fully advised of and put under no pressure to have them carried out by SRG. The works where completed on the same day by SRG and car picked up that evening, all round good friendly service."
"Would use garage again as very efficient and easy to book online"
"Very happy apart from I played for a puncture repair that didn't repair the puncture"
"Very convenient picked up the car from mu place and delivered it when they finished. Would be better If they gave a breakdown of the service"
"Not at all happy, car drove perfect before the service, after service multiple error messages and no throttle."
"Good value for money"
"Really nice guys, kept me informed as the day went on and gave me the loan of a car whilst mine was being looked at. Price was good and work was excellent."
"Brilliant customer service. Very helpful, will definitely use again."
Service on time excellent
"Put in for MOT, they didn't bother to finish as they said the exhaust was smoking and leaking oil. News to me so I pay £40 having a different garage look for the problem. There wasn't one. No leak or smoke. Not sure of there intentions but it was far from a good service."
Coolant is a specially-formulated chemical liquid, commonly known as antifreeze, that circulates through a car’s engine. It removes excess heat from a car’s engine by passing it through the car’s radiator. Furthermore, the solution contains inhibitors that protect the metal, plastic and rubber in the cooling system from corrosion. And, as the name antifreeze suggests, it also doesn’t freeze up in bitterly cold conditions, so it plays an important role in a car all year long.
Coolant levels should be checked frequently, at least every 3-6 months. Low coolant can cause overheating, which would have serious implications for other components on the car. Even though coolant can leak and evaporate over time, in many cars it often looks as though the coolant never needs changing because its level seems to stay the same. However, draining and flushing the coolant system, including the radiator, at least once a year is important. Flushing pushes out all the old coolant, debris from corrosion and scale. If left in the engine, it may become clogged up, potentially causing extensive damage.
Before a mechanic drains the cooling system, he might add coolant cleaner to the coolant and then start the engine, depending on what the manufacturer specifies. After the car has run for a while, he would turn it off and drain it. He would then add water to flush it and drain it again, twice, before finally putting in the fresh coolant.
Known for making vehicles with extensive off-road ability (their military connections spring to mind as well), the name Jeep has become synonymous with power and adventure. The company Jeep currently offers three models for sale in the UK, including the Cherokee, the Grand Cherokee, and the Renegade. The original Jeep went into production in 1941, specifically built for the military. The Jeep then became the primary light 4-wheel-drive vehicle of the US Army and the Allies during World War II.
The first civilians Jeep models were eventually produced in 1945, and they inspired a number of other light utility vehicles, such as the Land Rover. Many Jeep variants serving similar military and civilian roles have since been designed in other countries around the world. Although these cars make very practical family vehicles, they also excel if you’re the type that likes to go off-road!
How can you save money (and the environment) while you drive?
As every garage owner will tell you, there are some tried and tested ways to cut down on your petrol costs (and consumption) while you’re out and about in Warrington or beyond. One is to shut your windows. If you can hear that wind noise in your car it’s costing you more to drive. This is because the car becomes less aerodynamic and has to work harder to motor along. Removing a roof rack will improve your fuel efficiency for the same reason. Another useful tip is to combine short trips into one; each time you drive after your car has been parked for a while the engine will be cold and need to use a lot more fuel for the first 5 miles or so. If you do one trip from school drop-off to supermarket to office you’ll use far less fuel than if you do all those trips individually.
