"Great price. Great service. Modern. Very satisfying and a local business. Happy to pass on the word"
5 STAR RATING.
"Excellent service by friendly professional, very happy to recommend."
Change of heart
"I looked up garages near me - Westbury came up. The big tired old white van and dilapidated Jaguar on the forecourt does nothing to present a good image of the garage. Nearly drove straight past. Manger extremely helpful and honest with the way forward for looking after my car, but a shortage of staff means the work would have taken longer."
"Really helpful and kept me advised of issues. Terry is so helpful."
"Good, professional service and very friendly. Recommended."
"Took my car in for a routine service and MOT. They took the car in the morning and gave it back in the afternoon. Paid the price quoted and was happy with the work."
"I’d strongly recommend this garage as they were able to help me when the bigger more popular garages couldn’t. Friendly and knowlegable staff."
"Staff were expecting me on arrival and addressed me by name. Loan car ready and waiting. All work carried out efficiently and I was kept informed of progress"
Quick efficient work
"Quick appointment, carried out well"
"Very happy with the service, they called me when my car was done, very helpful, bit tight for parking in their yard, but ok,i will deffinatly use them in the future, local company."
Good service as always.
"All work is carried out to a good standard"
Coolant is a specially-formulated chemical liquid, commonly known as antifreeze, that circulates through a car’s engine. It removes excess heat from a car’s engine by passing it through the car’s radiator. Furthermore, the solution contains inhibitors that protect the metal, plastic and rubber in the cooling system from corrosion. And, as the name antifreeze suggests, it also doesn’t freeze up in bitterly cold conditions, so it plays an important role in a car all year long.
Coolant levels should be checked frequently, at least every 3-6 months. Low coolant can cause overheating, which would have serious implications for other components on the car. Even though coolant can leak and evaporate over time, in many cars it often looks as though the coolant never needs changing because its level seems to stay the same. However, draining and flushing the coolant system, including the radiator, at least once a year is important. Flushing pushes out all the old coolant, debris from corrosion and scale. If left in the engine, it may become clogged up, potentially causing extensive damage.
Before a mechanic drains the cooling system, he might add coolant cleaner to the coolant and then start the engine, depending on what the manufacturer specifies. After the car has run for a while, he would turn it off and drain it. He would then add water to flush it and drain it again, twice, before finally putting in the fresh coolant.
The makers of the Italian Alfa Romeo began getting involved in car racing in 1911, but things didn’t start ramping up for them until they switched to mass-producing small vehicles rather than hand-building luxury models after the end of the second World War. Over the years they’ve competed successfully in many different varieties of motorsport, from Grand Prix motor racing to Formula One, sportscar racing, rallies, and touring car racing, but they're still known for their beautiful cars above all else.
When it comes down to it, modern Alfa Romeos are as reliable as just as cars from any other major manufacturers, but are frequently flashier looking! The MiTo and Giulietta add a bit of Italian charm to the supermini and family hatchback models respectively due to their smart styling and unique interiors. And on top of that, both are available as sporty ‘QV’ models in true Alfa Romeo tradition. Of course, you’ve got the lightweight Alfa Romeo 4C if you’re looking for a Italian sportscar to play around with.
How to be a better driver
Whether you’re driving in Swansea or further afield, think about road user etiquette. Showing respect for other road users makes driving more pleasant for you and safer for everyone. For example, if you have to make a last minute change of lane, make your request to change clear to the driver who will need to let you in - and signal your thanks if they do. Be ready to abandon the change of lane if they won’t play ball - your safety (and that of other drivers and pedestrians) is more important than getting to your destination in the shortest time possible. When the position is reversed and a driver asks your permission to change lanes, allow them to as long as it is safe. If you get frustrated, avoid using your horn - it won’t improve matters and might make them considerably worse.
