Done a Good Job
"I brought my car in the early morning and everything was done later that day."
All seems fine
"Hard to tell with a service but the car works OK. The workshop appears professional and reassuring to see corporate fleet vehicles also being maintained. Many garages seem to have adopted menu approach to service, but Kynaston checked the service requirement to point me to a full service rather than me guessing what it may need. I am happy with this more informed indication."
"Very happy with the collection of car, being kept informed, politeness of staff, and drop off of car with the keys and information and receipt through the letterbox. Excellent and easy!"
"Kept up to date with any other work that needed doing. Clear and reasonable pricing. Good communication and customer sercive throughout."
Great, friendly service
"The service I received was excellent. In addition, my car was picked up and dropped off at no extra cost which I was very grateful for. I was charged what I was quoted for which having tried out numerous garages around Sheffield is a novelty! I was given advice and am happy with the work undertaken. Overall a great experience."
"Have been going here for over 15 years. Always open and honest, a trusted garage is hard to find."
"All professionally executed"
Great service throughout
"Booked online day before, on the morning, walked round corner from work, dropped keys off, got a call to come and collect within the hour, job done, great service."
Great service as usual
"Very satisfied with the timing, service and was offered a car while mine was being worked on."
A good standard
"Car runs better now"
"Great people use them on my car and van"
Coolant is a specially-formulated chemical liquid, commonly known as antifreeze, that circulates through a car’s engine. It removes excess heat from a car’s engine by passing it through the car’s radiator. Furthermore, the solution contains inhibitors that protect the metal, plastic and rubber in the cooling system from corrosion. And, as the name antifreeze suggests, it also doesn’t freeze up in bitterly cold conditions, so it plays an important role in a car all year long.
Coolant levels should be checked frequently, at least every 3-6 months. Low coolant can cause overheating, which would have serious implications for other components on the car. Even though coolant can leak and evaporate over time, in many cars it often looks as though the coolant never needs changing because its level seems to stay the same. However, draining and flushing the coolant system, including the radiator, at least once a year is important. Flushing pushes out all the old coolant, debris from corrosion and scale. If left in the engine, it may become clogged up, potentially causing extensive damage.
Before a mechanic drains the cooling system, he might add coolant cleaner to the coolant and then start the engine, depending on what the manufacturer specifies. After the car has run for a while, he would turn it off and drain it. He would then add water to flush it and drain it again, twice, before finally putting in the fresh coolant.
Skoda has a long and storied history producing cars that are sold around the world! One of the five oldest companies producing cars today, with an unbroken history right alongside Daimler, Opel, Peugeot, and Tatra, the Skoda Works were initially established as an arms manufacturing plant in 1859. Since 1990 they’ve been part of the Volkswagen group, and this Czech brand is now known for producing a fine range of excellent value, high quality cars.
The current range comprises everything from the compact Fabia to the incredibly spacious Superb Estate with a mix of off-road and high-performance cars thrown in for good measure. The practical Yeti is an agile SUV with off-road capability, while the Octavia VRS offers sharp sports car speed.
On top of all that, customer satisfaction has consistently helped Skoda rank highly against more established competitors.
