"happy with work"
Happy with service
"Happy with the service"
"Very fair. I'd booked a service as well as an MOT. The mechanic advised to just get the repair work done to get through the MOT. He could have taken advantage and done the service and it would have cost me an arm and a leg. I've used this garage before and I have been happy with the price and service provided each time."
MOT booking, all good
"Easy to book, easy to deal with, decent prices, kept me informed - all as it should be, many thanks..."
"Easy to book online, friendly service, quality work and reasonably priced."
Always use for my car
"Have been using this garage for over 10 years and haven’t been let down for anything"
"pretty good all round"
"Easy to book, local garage which carried out work for a reasonable price."
"Both the work carried out and the customer service were beyond any garage I have used in the past. The staff are so welcoming and honest that one almost welcomes the appearance of a warning light on the dashboard."
The clutch is perhaps the most important part of a car’s transmission system. It comprises two metal plates which are responsible for maintaining a connection between the engine and the gearbox. When the driver depresses the clutch pedal the plates come apart, separating the engine from the drive wheels, allowing you to change gear. Bringing the pedal back up re-engages the plates which in turn connect the engine to the drive wheels.
Excessive noise and vibration from the clutch area can be caused by a bad release bearing or pilot bearing. If this is the case in your car, the garage will take apart the clutch assembly in order to replace the bearings.
If the clutch is grabbing and shuddering as it’s engaged, the garage may need to take a look at the flywheel as well. Many modern vehicles are fitted with a dual mass flywheel; a rotating mechanical device which can break down. There’s no easy way for garages to check for this without disassembling the clutch and inspecting the pressure plate and flywheel. If the clutch pedal is giving little or no resistance, the problem could be a seal leak in the master or slave cylinder.
Saab is a currently inactive brand of automobile manufacturer, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of Saabs still on the road. Founded in Sweden in 1945, the company is still the exclusive automobile royal warrant holder as appointed by the King of Sweden. So if you’re driving one, you’re in good royal company!
The first production model, the Saab 92, was launched in 1949. In 1968 the parent company merged with Scania-Vabis, and ten years later the Saab 900 was launched, eventually becoming Saab's best-selling model. In the mid-1980s the new Saab 9000 model also appeared. But after the company became a wholly owned GM subsidiary (and after struggling to avoid insolvency back in 2011), all vehicles under the Saab label were no longer manufactured after the summer of 2014.
How can you save money (and the environment) while you drive?
As every garage owner will tell you, there are some tried and tested ways to cut down on your petrol costs (and consumption) while you’re out and about in Brent or beyond. One is to shut your windows. If you can hear that wind noise in your car it’s costing you more to drive. This is because the car becomes less aerodynamic and has to work harder to motor along. Removing a roof rack will improve your fuel efficiency for the same reason. Another useful tip is to combine short trips into one; each time you drive after your car has been parked for a while the engine will be cold and need to use a lot more fuel for the first 5 miles or so. If you do one trip from school drop-off to supermarket to office you’ll use far less fuel than if you do all those trips individually.
