Very good service
"Good online booking service, great quality work and communication with staff - just a little pricey"
"as stated car would have a valet also, this did not happen otherwise was fine"
"Very good service, work carried out very quickly and garage texted me to let me know car was ready to be collected. They weren’t able to reset the brake fluid service indicator on my car so didn’t charge me - that’s what I call customer service!! One minor niggle is that the date I booked via bookmygarage.com wasn’t available - surely it should be possible for the garage and the website to share data about availability?"
"Great service completed on time and kept informed"
"I’m very happy with the service drop and collect!! Would recommend them for sure."
Great service as always
"KJL Motors have been dealing with my car for a few years now, for both servicing and MOT, their customer service is impeccable and will always call to let me know if any additional worker parts are needed."
MOT made easy
"Booked online, got 8am appt the guys started promptly and was all done by 8.45am. No fuss."
"I was very happy with the pick up / drop off service provided, they worked around my conference calls as I worked from home - thank you very much!"
Great service, no fuss
"Very happy with the service provided for me and the car, second time I have used the garage, same professional service each time."
"Great service, good price and honest people"
"Guys working there were very helpful and kept me informed all the time. Very nice and definitely I will come back there."
Great little local garage
"Booked MOT on line. Efficient and helpful service. And accommodating when it came to switching the time on the day. I will certainly use again"
Cambridge is situated about 50 miles north-east of London in an area of level and relatively low-lying terrain just south of the Fens.
There is something timeless and serene about this celebrated and ancient university town. Cambridge boasts unmistakable, exquisite architecture, iconic ancient colleges, and the languid River Cam where punts zig zag all day long. It’s a place where you might negotiate cyclists loaded down with books along cobbled passageways, or relax on the manicured lawns of the ‘Backs’ that straddle the water. The Midsummer Common section of the river is also a great place for a wander, and you can see the spires of churches and chapels over the treetops.
You can’t visit Cambridge without exploring the colleges, many of which date back to the late thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries. These buildings are extraordinarily beautiful. The most famous is King’s College, whose splendid King’s College Chapel is one of the best examples of late Gothic architecture. The Great St Mary’s Church, the official centre of the University, is both architecturally and historically fascinating.
Architecture and academia aside, there are many excellent free museums and art galleries worth exploring in Cambridge including the Folk Museum and the stunning Fitzwilliam Museum. The city has a lot to offer gastronomically too, though if you want the best you should book a table (in advance) at Midsummer House, a two Michelin-starred British-French restaurant.
You can hear some of the best international music played every night in Cambridge from symphony orchestras to student and other visiting bands. Classical concerts are held in the city’s churches, while the Corn Exchange and Junction venues offer jazz, rock and pop as well as comedy.
You can drive from London to Cambridge in two and a half hours but plan for more.
Following rapid growth in the 20th century, Cambridge has a congested road network, which partly explains why it has the highest level of cycle use in the UK. Once you hit the city centre finding a parking space can be tricky and they are extremely expensive. Parking on the outskirts of town is worth considering – or fall in line with the locals and hire a bike.
