"Easy to book service and MOT. Staff were excellent and sourced all required parts quickly and economically. Also repaired some bodywork damage with no problems. Would strongly recommend."
"All good. Efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Even came in at below the quoted price. That’s rare! Highly Recommended. I’ve been taking my cars to KJL for years."
"Very positive. Thumbs up! You do everything from home. They take your car from your driveway and bring back the same day. Very impressive."
As good as ever!
"KJL have recently moved premises and the new place look so much more professional, They’re approachable, friendly and clearly know what they’re talking about. Some light humour is most welcome. I’ve used these guys a few times now and frankly I can’t imagine using anyone else in the future."
Excellent as always
"I have been using SRG for several years and have always found them to be professional, friendly, and honest, with fair and transparent prices. The online booking system works well and I'm always able to get a slot within a few days. I'd definitely recommend this garage to others."
Very good service ,
"Happy with service"
Positive first impression
"K J L Motors offers a pick-up service, which I found really helpful: they collected my car at my work and returned it around 5.35. I would have appreciated a call by 5 to let me know when to expect them and whether they had found any major issues. I called myself and was told they would be there in 15, which they were. I was told in passing that one or two of my tires was in need of replacing in the next month or two. This was helpful, but a note to the same effect on my invoice would have been great, both to instil trust in the statement and as a reminder. I can't really pronounce on the quality of work as this was simply a service, but I had wondered whether they would have noticed that my dashboard clock was off/not set correctly and blinking (the clock keeps resetting during frosty spells), as my previous garage did. They didn't, which is no biggie, but would have made me give them 5 stars for attentiveness. All in all, I am hopeful about this garage, and will probably take my car there for its next MOT."
"Very happy with the service: borrowed their courtesy car, and they were quick and efficient with the service. I will go there again!"
Great customer service
"Kept me informed, v transparent. Will definitely use their service again."
Cambridge is situated about 50 miles north-east of London in an area of level and relatively low-lying terrain just south of the Fens.
There is something timeless and serene about this celebrated and ancient university town. Cambridge boasts unmistakable, exquisite architecture, iconic ancient colleges, and the languid River Cam where punts zig zag all day long. It’s a place where you might negotiate cyclists loaded down with books along cobbled passageways, or relax on the manicured lawns of the ‘Backs’ that straddle the water. The Midsummer Common section of the river is also a great place for a wander, and you can see the spires of churches and chapels over the treetops.
You can’t visit Cambridge without exploring the colleges, many of which date back to the late thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries. These buildings are extraordinarily beautiful. The most famous is King’s College, whose splendid King’s College Chapel is one of the best examples of late Gothic architecture. The Great St Mary’s Church, the official centre of the University, is both architecturally and historically fascinating.
Architecture and academia aside, there are many excellent free museums and art galleries worth exploring in Cambridge including the Folk Museum and the stunning Fitzwilliam Museum. The city has a lot to offer gastronomically too, though if you want the best you should book a table (in advance) at Midsummer House, a two Michelin-starred British-French restaurant.
You can hear some of the best international music played every night in Cambridge from symphony orchestras to student and other visiting bands. Classical concerts are held in the city’s churches, while the Corn Exchange and Junction venues offer jazz, rock and pop as well as comedy.
You can drive from London to Cambridge in two and a half hours but plan for more.
Following rapid growth in the 20th century, Cambridge has a congested road network, which partly explains why it has the highest level of cycle use in the UK. Once you hit the city centre finding a parking space can be tricky and they are extremely expensive. Parking on the outskirts of town is worth considering – or fall in line with the locals and hire a bike.
