"I had booked both a service and MOT, but needed to reschedule the service until the end of month. I kept the Mot booking but slept in. The team at express motors were so accommodating and fit me in later that day. I can't fault them, they have always been exemplary at what they do, and for this reason I continue to take my car back."
"I always had bad experience with garage in the past trying to rip me of but they picked up my car around 10 bring it back around 2pm full services done, I told them that I probably had to change the 2 front tyre but the garagiste called me and said I only had to change one, really honest would defenetly recommend them to all my friend and from now one only use this garage"
Best service and price!
"It was easy to book online! Only cost £130 for MOT and a service (have a small Fiat 500) which is best price I’ve ever paid anywhere! Dropped it off no hassle, they rang 2 hours later to say it’s passed the MOT (great) and then rang again before 3pm saying it’s ready - awesome. Lovely lady in the office, paid really quick and easy, friendly and nice staff. When I got in my car I was amazed! They also had it cleaned inside and out!! It was hovered and polished inside "
Usual great service
"Happy with everything."
"This is one of the few garages I have had a pleasant experience with. The owner was really friendly and helpful and didn’t leave me with the feeling that I was being patronised or ripped off, which as a woman happens a lot when you take your car to a garage! Really glad I’ve found this garage, will be using them from now on."
"Good price, efficient and excellent customer service too. Particularly liked that my car was picked up and dropped off."
"Helpful, reliable great customer service... first time used now will go back for any motor problems.. very happy"
Great, fast service
"Very happy with the work carried out and would defiantly go back. Recommend this company"
"Very good every thing was recorded and sent to me on email on the mot"
"They booked me in last minute as I had left it so late. Very friendly, efficient staff. The whole thing was easy."
"I was very happy with the service."
Helpful local garage
"Honest and upfront garage. Kept me informed and phoned/text throughout the day. In no way did I feel pressured to get additional work to fix advisories. I did choose to get this done though because it was a fair price. Would recommend."
The brakes on your car utilise fluid pressure.
When the brake pedal is depressed, it activates a plunger in the master cylinder,
which pressurises the brake fluid in the pipes and hoses causing the brake components to move.
Brake repairs are one of the most common reasons to visit a garage; all cars need their brake discs and pads replaced at regular intervals. Some of the warning signs for brake failure are squealing or grinding noises when depressing the brakes, or the brake feeling 'spongy' when the pedals is pressed. And of course if you need to brake increasingly hard to effectively slow or stop your car, then you could well be looking at brake replacement.
There are two main types of brake systems: disc brakes and drum brakes.
Disc brake systems are comprised of two pads per wheel, which clamp down on the brake disc when the brake pedal is depressed. When the fluid becomes pressurised, it sends a plunger in the calliper forward, forcing the brake pads on either side of the brake disc to squeeze it, which results in the slowing and stopping of the car.
Drum brakes operate in the same way as disc brakes, but with a different design. They both use friction to slow and stop the car, but drum brakes use shoes, instead of pads. The shoes are inside the steel brake drum itself, which spins with the wheel. When brake pressure is applied, a component called the wheel cylinder expands, forcing the brake shoes apart and towards the inside edge of the drum. Drum brakes are usually found on older vehicles, or just on the rear brake system.
Fiat is an Italian automaker and part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles through its subsidiary FCA Italy S.p.A, the largest automobile manufacturer in Italy. The company was formed in January 2007 when Fiat reorganised its automobile business, and can trace its history back to 1899 when the first Fiat, or as it was called then, Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino automobile, was produced.
Fiat's main market is Europe, specifically in Italy. Historically successful at producing city cars and superminis, currently Fiat has a range of models focused on those two segments. Fiat doesn’t currently offer any large family car, nor an executive car - you can say they are pretty exclusively in the urban car camp.
This Italian brand offers cars with bags of character and style. They’ve even developed new engine technology, such as the “Twin Air” system, which has placed Fiat ahead of others in their field. A partnership with Mazda has boosted the range as well with the introduction of a rear-wheel drive convertible sports car.
What do you need from your garage?
This might sound like a question with an obvious answer: you need a garage that can service or repair your car quickly and at a good price. But think again and you may realise there are other factors that affect your choice of garage in Sleaford. If you need to bring your son or daughter with you when you take your car in, are there toys in the waiting room? If you’re dropping the car off between school and work, can you pick up a cup of coffee while you’re there? Might the garage even collect your car and drop it back at your house after the work is done? You can find answers to all these questions on BookMyGarage.
