"All went easy"
Same service. 1/2 price
"I was a little dubious when booking , what seemed, exactly the same service at around half the price quoted by Volvo. Thought would give it a try as there no upfront payment and booked it in. The next day had a call from Volvo directly confirming my booking. Service done on time, book stamped and free valet. All in all happy bunny! Will be using book my garage for all my cars from now on."
"Great value. Communication excellent. Pick up service fantastic in the countryside!"
Too good to be true?
"By chance I found This site having just had s quote for the same work from my usual dealership. As it turned out ‘my secret service’ sent my booking to my usual dealership. So I got all the usual high standards of service and expertise for a significantly lower price. If it works the same again then obviously I will do the same."
"I booked my car in for its MOT, and was extremely pleased with the friendly, informed service I received from Kevin and his staff."
"Very helpful friendly service. Collected and dropped off my car on time. Definately will use again next year."
"Really super local company who kept me well informed throughout the job and whose pricing is very reasonable. Was very happy with the work done and will definitely use in future"
Good well priced service
"Decided to book Steins garage through book my garage. Dropped the car off at 07:45 on the day agreed - car was ready at 11:45. Price was good at just around £180 for a year old Volvo V40. Detailed information on service provided on paper and on-line. Staff were friendly and communication was good. Close to my home too so I could walk away and back to pick the car up. No problems and car running fine afterwards as you'd expect. Reckon I'll use them again next year for year 2 service."
"Great value for money. Great staff. Speedy service. 5 stars from me."
Car brakes on your car use fluid pressure to work. When a car’s brake pedal is pushed, a plunger in the brake’s master cylinder pressurises the brake fluid that resides in the hoses and pipes to make the other components of the braking system move.
This varies from car to car, but most manufacturers suggest that the fluid is replaced at least every couple of years. Although the fluid is in a sealed system, moisture can still find its way in. It corrodes components over time and decreases the temperature at which the fluid is supposed to boil. Furthermore, as the internal components of the braking system wear out, debris contaminates the fluid, jamming everything up. All of this impacts on how well the brakes function, particularly in constant stop-start traffic with heavy braking.
Straight out of the Swedish city of Gothenberg, Volvo has become well-known for pushing out safe, reliable cars, making them one of the vehicles of choice for families around the globe. Initially made all the way back in 1924 to withstand the rigours of Sweden’s rough roads and cold temperatures, you could say they’ve come a long way!
The current Volvo range focusses mainly on traditional vehicle platforms, including hatchbacks, saloons, SUVs and estate cars. The ‘XC’ models cater to drivers who regularly get their cars a bit muddy and dirty off-road, while the ‘Cross Country’ versions are available for people going for a more traditional combination of on and off-road ability
This waterfront city in Hampshire is the most densely populated city in the UK. This means that traffic can build at Portsmouth’s rush hour, but that it’s also packed with things to do and see for all ages.
Tourists are drawn to the area for its proximity to the sea, but Portsmouth’s naval history is also a prominent feature with numerous related attractions, such as The Historic Dockyard, the D-Day Museum, the Royal Naval Museum, and the Royal Marines Museum. A number of iconic ships adorn the dockyard such as the HMS Victory, the HMS Warrior and Henry VIII’s Tudor warship the Mary Rose. For those who can handle heights, there are marvellous views from the observation deck of the Spinnaker Tower, a sweep of glass and steel shaped like a sail, which lays claim to being Britain's tallest tower outside London.
Portsmouth has a prestigious literary history and is the birthplace of many celebrated authors from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to Michelle Magorian, H.G. Wells to Neil Gaiman and most notably, Charles Dickens. The modest house in Old Commercial Road was his former abode and has been restyled to resemble the original Dickens family home.
