"Happy with service"
"car failed and for all the right reasons. Always trusted, great service and friendly helpful staff. 5 star."
Service and MOT
"everything carried out without fault"
"Great staff who were very accommodating and able to do a service at very short notice. Would recommend and will definitely have repeat business from me!"
"This is the second time I have used this garage, I had my wife's car tested there and even though I live the other side of the city it was well worth me going back to have my car tested. the garage phoned me to tell me what was needed, gave me a price and did all the work, I was very happy with the service and the price, had I gone to my local car dealership to have my type of vehicle repaired, I would have been charged a few hundred pounds more. I highly recommend Lloyds, I won't be using any other garage in future."
Polite, great service.
"Couldn't ask for a better service"
"Impressed with the video sent via phone to see what was happening to my car, with a call or voicemail to chat about any repairs needed. Everything was explained so I knew exactly what was needed although there was no pressure to have the work done. It was easy to book on line with a follow up email from the garage to confirm the date, and they were very accommodating when I had to change my booking. It was also great to have my car picked up and returned"
"I recently got an interim service and MOT for my car. I was happy with the charges for both and the simplicity of the online booking system. The garage have good flexible arrangements for dropping the car off the night before the service is due. Only slight negative and it wasn't a big issue for me as I was working till 5 o'clock was that I booked the car in using the online booking system for an AM appointment 2-3 weeks prior to the service date. I phoned the garage mid afternoon to ask for an update on my car and was told the MOT passed but it was waiting for a service. I was then told I would get a call when the service was done and the car could be collected. I did not get that call but assumed the car would be ready by 5pm and fortunately it was, although several cars had to be moved to get it out ready for me to drive away."
Great Customer Service
"Very efficient, work done on time and on price - couldnt ask for more really"
"The lady who manages the reception area was very friendly and understanding with my work schedule and letting me arrive late to pick up the car from the garage due to my work commitments. Very friendly. Will return if there are any problems."
Fantastic, great price
"Everything done to a very high standard, at a good cost"
Car brakes on your car use fluid pressure to work. When a car’s brake pedal is pushed, a plunger in the brake’s master cylinder pressurises the brake fluid that resides in the hoses and pipes to make the other components of the braking system move.
This varies from car to car, but most manufacturers suggest that the fluid is replaced at least every couple of years. Although the fluid is in a sealed system, moisture can still find its way in. It corrodes components over time and decreases the temperature at which the fluid is supposed to boil. Furthermore, as the internal components of the braking system wear out, debris contaminates the fluid, jamming everything up. All of this impacts on how well the brakes function, particularly in constant stop-start traffic with heavy braking.
With an unlikely history that began with making looms back in 1909, Japanese brand Suzuki didn’t make the move into vehicles until the late 1930s, when Michio Suzuki decided that building a new small car would be a great venture for his company. Interestingly, Suzuki also used to create bicycles with fitted motors known as the “Power Free”, which were immensely popular in Japan after the war.
These days, Suzuki is known for focusing on two major vehicle industry segments - compact hatchbacks and 4x4s. The basic Jimny is more on the utilitarian side of things when it comes to going off-road, with less refinement than many others in its class. The SX4 S-Cross and Vitara SUVs both represent good value for money and have been highly praised by critics. They seem to represent the Japanese brand’s efforts to balance on- and off-roading.
How can you save money (and the environment) while you drive?
As every garage owner will tell you, there are some tried and tested ways to cut down on your petrol costs (and consumption) while you’re out and about in Leigh-on-Sea or beyond. One is to shut your windows. If you can hear that wind noise in your car it’s costing you more to drive. This is because the car becomes less aerodynamic and has to work harder to motor along. Removing a roof rack will improve your fuel efficiency for the same reason. Another useful tip is to combine short trips into one; each time you drive after your car has been parked for a while the engine will be cold and need to use a lot more fuel for the first 5 miles or so. If you do one trip from school drop-off to supermarket to office you’ll use far less fuel than if you do all those trips individually.
