"Very happy with the service I received this time round as with every other time ive been. Always use them for my services and MOTs. Dropped car off before i went to work and by mid morning i had a text to say car was ready to collect. Went down after work and car was ready, pleasent staff, paid by card and went off on my jolly way!! For a woman in my 30s i have been in garages where they try and add things on or try and get more money from you. These guys though are completely honest and genuine and always made to feel completely comfortable. Thanks for a fab experience. Car feels great."
Friendly and helpful
"The staff were friendly and helpful. I cannot comment on the standard of the workmanship, but time will tell. The set up seemed very professional and well organised. I did book this garage online as it offered pick up and drop off of the car, as it turned out this, and my chosen appointment time, were not available. In future I’d bear this in mind in choosing a provider off this site as the convenience is important to me."

A brilliant first time
"It was my first time at Hares and also I was there for my first MOT for the car and it’s yearly service seeing as it didn’t need to go to the main dealer. It was the cheapest around by far and it was certainly great value. I went on the 2nd March 2019 and everyone there was lovely! It’s a lovely garage with lovely staff and I really enjoyed the courtesy car, it was a good ride. My car felt beautiful to drive afterwards. Thank you so much, Hares, I have already recommended you to lots of others. Will be coming back"
Car brakes on your car use fluid pressure to work. When a car’s brake pedal is pushed, a plunger in the brake’s master cylinder pressurises the brake fluid that resides in the hoses and pipes to make the other components of the braking system move.
This varies from car to car, but most manufacturers suggest that the fluid is replaced at least every couple of years. Although the fluid is in a sealed system, moisture can still find its way in. It corrodes components over time and decreases the temperature at which the fluid is supposed to boil. Furthermore, as the internal components of the braking system wear out, debris contaminates the fluid, jamming everything up. All of this impacts on how well the brakes function, particularly in constant stop-start traffic with heavy braking.
Fiat is an Italian automaker and part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles through its subsidiary FCA Italy S.p.A, the largest automobile manufacturer in Italy. The company was formed in January 2007 when Fiat reorganised its automobile business, and can trace its history back to 1899 when the first Fiat, or as it was called then, Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino automobile, was produced.
Fiat's main market is Europe, specifically in Italy. Historically successful at producing city cars and superminis, currently Fiat has a range of models focused on those two segments. Fiat doesn’t currently offer any large family car, nor an executive car - you can say they are pretty exclusively in the urban car camp.
This Italian brand offers cars with bags of character and style. They’ve even developed new engine technology, such as the “Twin Air” system, which has placed Fiat ahead of others in their field. A partnership with Mazda has boosted the range as well with the introduction of a rear-wheel drive convertible sports car.
How to be a better driver
Whether you’re driving in Kettering or further afield, think about road user etiquette. Showing respect for other road users makes driving more pleasant for you and safer for everyone. For example, if you have to make a last minute change of lane, make your request to change clear to the driver who will need to let you in - and signal your thanks if they do. Be ready to abandon the change of lane if they won’t play ball - your safety (and that of other drivers and pedestrians) is more important than getting to your destination in the shortest time possible. When the position is reversed and a driver asks your permission to change lanes, allow them to as long as it is safe. If you get frustrated, avoid using your horn - it won’t improve matters and might make them considerably worse.
