"Excellent customer service from start to finish"
Great quality service
"Great value for money, friendly helpful staff. Will continue to use this garage and I would teccomend any to use them too."
Great service as usual
"Great service, kept up to date with car. Thankfully sailed through Mot."
"Really helpful staff and great advice about my car."
Another good job
"DJ Matthews have MOT'd my car and my works vehicles for the past three years and are always very good. The latest service for my car was a better result that I was expecting as I didn't realise it would get a wash and brush up as part of an interim service. Car going very nicely, thanks."
"The quality of work is second to none. Terrific family run business."
"Staff were friendly and happy to explain why my car needed repairs in a couple of areas to pass it's MOT. The fix up was carried out quickly and professionally. Overall, very happy with my experience and would recommend to others for car repairs."
"Always pleased with service and work done"
Great customer service
"Managed to slot me in same day after a cancellation from another garage. Owner very polite and friendly- keen to please and went out of his way to help me out. Informed me that brakes pads needed changing and was quoted a very reasonable price. Work completed quickly and efficiently."
Can't fault the service.
"Will definitely use Mike Brewer motors again."
A better man in reception

"The staff we really helpfully"
The alternator plays a crucial role under the bonnet of your car. It converts the mechanical energy of the car‘s rotating crankshaft into electricity through a process of induction; put simply, it sends power to all the electrical elements of your vehicle.
One of the alternator‘s main functions is to keep your car battery charged, and so a car which is difficult or slow to start can be a sign of a faulty alternator. It also provides power to operate the car‘s lights and other electrical accessories. Therefore lights that seem too dim or blink erratically, and the red battery light glowing on the dash, are all signs that your alternator needs checking out.
With an unlikely history that began with making looms back in 1909, Japanese brand Suzuki didn’t make the move into vehicles until the late 1930s, when Michio Suzuki decided that building a new small car would be a great venture for his company. Interestingly, Suzuki also used to create bicycles with fitted motors known as the “Power Free”, which were immensely popular in Japan after the war.
These days, Suzuki is known for focusing on two major vehicle industry segments - compact hatchbacks and 4x4s. The basic Jimny is more on the utilitarian side of things when it comes to going off-road, with less refinement than many others in its class. The SX4 S-Cross and Vitara SUVs both represent good value for money and have been highly praised by critics. They seem to represent the Japanese brand’s efforts to balance on- and off-roading.
How to be a better driver
Whether you’re driving in Afon-wen or further afield, think about road user etiquette. Showing respect for other road users makes driving more pleasant for you and safer for everyone. For example, if you have to make a last minute change of lane, make your request to change clear to the driver who will need to let you in - and signal your thanks if they do. Be ready to abandon the change of lane if they won’t play ball - your safety (and that of other drivers and pedestrians) is more important than getting to your destination in the shortest time possible. When the position is reversed and a driver asks your permission to change lanes, allow them to as long as it is safe. If you get frustrated, avoid using your horn - it won’t improve matters and might make them considerably worse.
